It was evident from the start that it would doom. They said 5 months and when it was past experation date I should've known. But time flies when you're having fun with the ones you loved. No one saw the end coming.

Every superhero has their damsel in distress; in some shape or form. Most of the time, those damsels were kidnapped and used as bait by villians. Peter Parker had to eventually give up Mary Jane because he knew she would be the death of him. Green Goblin went for his weakest link; her. The Joker used Rachel Dawes in attempt to destroy Batman. Superman saved Louis Lane one too many times. These women were supposed to support and raise their heroes up high but in the end all they did was drag them down. They were the true form of kryptonite without even meaning to. At some point I had found my superhero and I lost him just as soon as I had him. Technically speaking, that made me the superhero and he was my damsel. He was my kryptonite and I knew I had to let go. Maybe it was for the best but that didn't help heal the pain. I had cried so hard I could've made a new river for our town.

As time slugged on, I had many days to think and reflect on my past. I realized something very close and important was missing and I was out to find it. There were many things that should have told me it was a bad idea but I pushed on, demanding to find the truth. The day that I crossed paths with him- I felt my entire world freeze. The wind had been knocked out of me and for second I forgot everyone around us. It wasn't the adventure I had been hoping for.

The day that I saw him again I had no clue what to do. I stood there with my mouth wide, jaw practically on the floor and feet firmly planted on the ground. Every word I had rehearsed had been stuck in my throat, scratching at it ready to come out but I couldn't utter a single one.

He always had that effect on me. He had that one thing.
