One Day Later

Day's phone rang while he was in his office at the car dealership. As soon as he saw the number, he picked up immediately.

"Hello, Uncle Rong," Day answered his lawyer. He already had a good idea of why Araong was calling, and it turned out to be just as he suspected. The local councillor, Methi, had instructed someone to contact Uncle Rong to discuss the land, scheduling a meeting at Councillor Methi's house. However, Uncle Rong declined to go to the other party's house and suggested meeting at a restaurant instead. Initially, Councillor Methi was reluctant to change the meeting place, but Uncle Rong insisted that if they didn’t switch locations, there wouldn’t be anything to discuss, forcing the other party to concede

"If that’s the case, do you want to go with me, Uncle Rong?" Day asked, knowing they had to meet the other party the day after tomorrow.

"Oh, yes, that’s fine. Then let’s meet at my house instead, okay? Yes... thank you," Day said before hanging up.

"They’ve scheduled a meeting already?" Brick's father asked, as he happened to be in the office with Day.

"Yes, Uncle Rong will bring one assistant along. They’ll follow me later, but I plan to go ahead tomorrow," Day replied.

"Be careful. We don’t know if they’ll talk to you nicely or try something sneaky," Brick's father warned with concern.

"Yes, but I’ve prepared for it. Don’t worry, Dad," Day assured him. Brick’s father trusted Day to not let the situation get out of hand. Day called Kamol to gather some information and also asked for assistance with something.

.......

"Do you think there will be a fight?" Brick asked Day while preparing to pack for their trip to Kanchanaburi the next day after hearing from Day about the scheduled meeting with Uncle Rong.

"Do you want there to be one?" Day responded casually while helping Brick get clothes from the closet to pack.

"Crazy! Who would want that? We’re past the age for fighting!" Brick replied, and Day smirked slightly.

"But I think I won’t take you with me," Day stated straightforwardly.

"Why not?" Brick immediately questioned.

"I’d prefer you to wait at home. I’ll have Bank stay with you in case anything urgent comes up," Day explained. He didn’t want to think too negatively; if things turned violent, he wanted Brick to be safe, and he could focus better. Brick pouted slightly; part of him wanted to go with his lover, but since Day wanted him to wait at home, he agreed. Brick didn’t want to be the one ruining everything like in the past.

"Okay, I’ll wait at home then," Brick replied reluctantly.

"You’re not mad at me, right?" Day asked again.

"I’m not mad. I know you’re concerned," Brick responded honestly, and Day nodded in agreement.

"So how long are we going to be there?" Brick continued to ask.

"I’m not sure yet. I’ll take Cotton with us," Day answered, as he still didn’t know if there would be any further issues. Brick prepared only a few clothes because there were already clothes and essentials at the other house. Once he packed, he lay down on the bed to relax.

"Do you want to do anything with the riverside land?" Day asked.

"Why do you ask me?" Brick questioned in return since the land belonged to both Day and Night.

"In case you want to do something with that area. I can call Night to discuss it," Day replied.

"Hmm, looking at the location, a riverside café would be nice. We could invite Night and Gear to invest together. What do you think?" Brick suggested.
