After feeding the baby, Ob fell into a deep sleep. Brick and Day also slept in the playpen with their son until early morning. Day, who woke up first, got up to prepare breakfast for himself, Brick, and Cotton. When he walked out of the kitchen to water the plants in front of the house, he saw that Brick was already awake and talking to their son.

"Hey, little one, you’re feeling better now, right? Ah, smile—it means you don’t have a fever anymore," Brick said to little Ob, who was lying there, opening his eyes at Brick's voice. His legs kicked back and forth, and his lips smiled. Day watched and couldn't help but smile back, feeling his heart swell at the sight of Brick and their son’s smiles.

"Ah... uh," little Ob made sounds as Brick responded back. Day leaned in to give Brick a gentle kiss on the head, and Brick turned to look at Day with a big smile.

"Go wash your face first; I’ll take care of the baby," Day said.

"Okay, I'll go prepare some milk for the baby too," Brick replied before getting up and walking to the room, while Day sat with their son. Day picked Ob up; he sat cross-legged and placed their son on his lap, securing Ob’s head and body with his strong forearms.

"Are you hungry yet, my son? Wait a minute for Papa Brick," Day said to Ob in a gentle tone. Even though he was a rough man, he knew how to adjust himself when it came to raising their son.

"Uh... ah," little Ob responded, looking at Day with his lips moving.

"Hehe, looks like you are really hungry, huh? Woke up hungry already?" Day was speaking casually when he noticed Ob was watching him because he heard the sound from Day.

Prrrttt...

Day paused for a moment when he heard a sound and felt something in his lap. He immediately knew that their son had let out a morning "bomb." Thankfully, he still had a diaper on.

"Uuhhh..." little Ob's voice rose as he finished his business, and Day chuckled softly.

"Feeding you is Papa Brick's job, while cleaning up the bottom is Dad's, huh?" Day said before carefully carrying Ob to the bathroom. He took off the diaper and gently ran warm water to clean their son. Who would have thought that a man who had faced so much violence and fought through many hardships could clean his son so delicately? Once he was clean, Day carried him back to the playpen just as Brick was coming down.

"Oh, the baby pooped?" Brick asked.

"Yeah, the diaper is still in the bathroom; I haven't taken care of it yet," Day replied. Brick then walked to collect it and put it in the trash bag before coming back to their son, who still didn’t have a new diaper on.

"Let’s see if Daddy Day cleaned your bottom well," Brick said playfully, checking once more, confident that Day had taken good care of their son.

"Feeling more comfortable now, huh? And are you hungry again?" Brick teased their son before wiping his bottom again and putting a new diaper on Ob. Day then got up to go water the plants, with Cotton following him outside.

........

"Just a little while, and Nick will come to keep you company," Day told Brick in the late morning because he needed to go clear some work at the shop, so he had asked Nick to keep Brick company. It wasn’t that Day didn’t trust him to take care of their son alone, but he didn’t want Brick to be too tired.

"Yeah, he sent a message saying that Neil would come to drop him off," Brick replied. Day nodded before leaning down to kiss Ob's cheek, who Brick was holding by the door, then kissed Brick's cheek as well.

"If anything comes up, just call, okay?" Day emphasized, and Brick smiled in response. Day reached out to gently stroke Cotton’s head.

"Cotton, take care of the little one while you’re at home, okay?" Day said, and Cotton barked understandingly. Ob flinched a little but didn’t cry. Day then walked to the car, and Brick brought Ob back inside. When Day drove to the shop, he found his father in his office.
