Brick carried Ton Nam to Day, who was in the kitchen preparing food for the plates. Nan, seeing this, decided to help.

"I came too, Uncle Day. Did you see me?" Brick approached Day while carrying Ton Nam in such a way that Ton Nam was facing outward.

"Woo! Yum!" Ton Nam made a sound as if he wanted to greet them, pointing his tiny hand at the food on the table.

"Do you want to eat, little one?" Day asked. The little one instantly smiled widely at Day.

"Honestly, I thought the kid would be scared of you," Nan teased.

"I think the person the kid finds scary is more likely you. Look at that hair! You need to have a trim. And that beard!" Brick replied jokingly.

"I haven't had the time to get a haircut. I just shaved off my beard. Don’t try to blame me!" Nan shot back, and Brick chuckled.

"So if you have kids, what will you want them to call each other?" Mac asked with curiosity.

"I suppose they'll call Day ‘dad’ and me ‘papa,’" Brick responded. He and Day hadn't agreed on this yet, but Brick was speaking based on family traditions. Day, being Thai, would typically be called ‘dad,’ but Brick also had some Chinese lineage and called his own father ‘papa,’ so he figured it would be fine for their kids to call him that.

"But they could call you ‘dad’ and then add the name, like 'Dad Day', 'Dad Brick', or ‘Papa Day’, ‘Papa Brick’ or something." Nan added.

"We'll talk about that later. We'll just focus on making sure the embryo transfer goes smoothly first," Day interjected.

"And what about the last name? Have you thought about which surname to use?" Mac asked again, full of curiosity. Day and Brick exchanged glances since they hadn't discussed this yet.

"I want them to have Day's last name," Brick answered.

"Oh, because you’re the spouse, right? So you want to use your husband’s surname," Nan teased playfully.

"It's not for that reason," Brick said, raising his voice just enough to be heard while holding Ton Nam.

"I want to use Day’s surname because right now it’s just Day and Night. I want to continue Day’s lineage. My side has plenty of children and grandchildren already," Brick said with a smile. Day was surprised that Brick was thinking about his family.

"To be honest, I haven’t thought much about the surname. You can use yours if you prefer," Day replied, as he genuinely didn't mind the issue.

"Let’s consult with dad about it later," Brick said. Day nodded in agreement just as they heard the gate open. Mac volunteered to check since Brick was holding Ton Nam, while Day and Nan were busy helping arrange the food. Soon, they heard voices greeting and chatting their way into the kitchen.

"There’s no need to say who’s here; it’s obviously Nick, his voice is the loudest!" Brick joked, just as Nick popped his head into the kitchen.

"Yo! How’s it going? The kid’s growing up so fast!" Nick teased, lightly ruffling Ton Nam's head.

"Growing up in your house!" Brick retorted playfully, knowing Nick was kidding about Ton Nam being his and Day’s child. Nick giggled, and Neil shook his head.

"I brought the drinks already, they’re out front," Neil said, as Day had asked him to buy them.

"Is there anything I can help with?" Night came in to ask, followed by Gear.

"Just help carry the food out to the table in front," Day suggested. Everyone helped carry items outside, with only Brick carrying Ton Nam along.

"Brick, are you tired? You can put him down to walk. Ton Nam can walk now," Mac suggested.
