The soft, golden light of dawn filtered through the curtains of Tulip's bedroom at Fudge Manor, illuminating the cozy space filled with memories of her recent birthday celebrations. As she stirred awake, a series of hoots drew her attention. Curiosity piqued, she opened her eyes to see an owl perched on the window ledge, its feathers fluffed and eyes bright.
Tulip's heart raced with excitement. "It's here!" she whispered, remembering that today was the day her acceptance letter to Hogwarts finally arrived.
She slipped out of bed gently. Tulip padded over to the window and swung it open, letting in a cool breeze that ruffled her hair. The owl, a beautiful barn owl with speckled feathers, hooted again, its eyes watching her intently.
"Thank you!" she said, reaching out to take the envelopes attached to its leg. She gently stroked the owl's head as she unhooked the letters, feeling a rush of gratitude. The owl responded with a soft coo before spreading its wings and soaring into the morning sky.
Tulip's excitement bubbled over as she turned to her room and examined the envelopes in her hands. Each envelope was addressed neatly in emerald ink, and the Hogwarts crest was stamped on the back.
The first envelope bore her name, Tulip Potter, and a thrill ran through her as she traced the elegant lettering. The second envelope bore Sebastian's name, and the third was for Ominis. The reality of what these letters meant began to sink in: today was the day they were officially accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
With eager hands, Tulip carefully peeled open her envelope, the wax seal popping with a satisfying crack. She pulled out the letter, her heart pounding in rhythm with her excitement as she unfolded it.
Dear Ms. Potter,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I have attached a list of required books and equipment. The term begins on September 1st. We await your owl by July 31st.
Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress
Tulip read the letter twice, her smile growing wider with each line. She could hardly believe it—she was going to Hogwarts! It felt like a dream come true.
Her hands tightly grasped Sebastian and Ominis' letters. Excited, she put on her slippers and ran out of her bedroom. She stood outside and knocked on the door. She didn't hear a response, so she opened the door.
"Sebastian! Ominis!" she whispered urgently, feeling the thrill of sharing the news with them. She hurried into their bedroom and gently shook Sebastian's shoulder, her eyes sparkling excitedly.
Sebastian groaned softly, turning over. "What is it, Tulip?"
"It's here! Our Hogwarts letters!" she exclaimed, holding up the envelope.
Sebastian's eyes flew open, instantly awake. "What? Let me see!" He sat up, his expression shifting from sleepiness to excitement as Tulip handed him his letter.
Ominis stirred on his bed nearby, opening his eyes as he joined the conversation. "What's all the commotion about?" he asked.
"Tulip got our Hogwarts letters!" Sebastian announced, his voice bursting with enthusiasm. He quickly opened his envelope, and the excitement in the room was noticeable as Tulip gave an envelope to Ominis, who took it.
As they (Tulip and Sebastian) read their acceptance letters with Ominis listening, the reality of the next chapter in their lives began to dawn on them. They would soon be part of the magical world they had only dreamed about, embarking on adventures filled with friendship, learning, and discovery.
