CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Abdullahi's P.O.V

Hastily exiting the house I saunter to the garage,
It completely slip off my mind that I would go pick Kareem at the daycare center and take him for his doctors appointment, the last few months was hectic,
How to balance and pleased both women seems impossible, with Aisha pregnancy giving her a rough start I know I have to be there but then there's Munirah, who at the moment it scares me to pissed her off because her words are nothing nice she's like a ticking time bomb, ever since what happened and her dad got to called my dad I tried as much as I can to make sure something similar that would lead to a sitting like that day occurred again,
Despite the settlement that day it took her a week to go back home not until her dad sit me down and tell me how important his daughter is to him,
As though she isn't also important to me.

I quickly climb the car and spot Aisha coming down from the porch walking to the garage, today it's actually the last four days of hers and even though I will be at munirah'a place I know I would still squeeze time to come check on her because of her condition and also munirah isn't the best person to even be with these days she completely shut me out,
It hurts me a lot how things are going on between us.

"What is it?"I ask with a smile as I stare at Aisha from the car window.

"You left your phone,
Your wife was calling."She says handing it to me and I collect it.

"Ok,
Let me get going,
Will talk later."I say and she nod, I maneuver the car and start the drive out of the house with a heavy breath.

I was supposed to pick him 11a.m and it's 12:30p.m I do hope munirah didn't go there, she had test and I know that was why she asked me to do so,
I do hate to disappoint munirah these days because her statement always be like
"I know you wouldn't do it" she failed to understand something would popped up and that I'm human,
None of what I did were intentional nor to hurt her.

I arrived at the place and I barely come down from the car I was told she has picked him up,
Sighing, I dialed Munirah's contact and she didn't answer after the 3rd attempt the phone was said to be off, I headed for the hospital perhaps she will be there, yesterday we had a very intense argument I was kinda surprised to see she called me to do this today.

I arrived at the hospital quickly because it was a short drive there, I saw her car in the parking lot which makes me release a heavy breathe, I come down from the car and spot shagari speaking with a nurse, we haven't been on good terms since what happened that day, shagari can be so petty to keep malice so I wasn't surprised when he blocked my contact so childish of him but it's shagari and that's his way, I don't have energy for him at the moment I would have go speak to him since I know he would never speak to me first.

"Is my wife here?"I ask him when I climbed the porch, he looks up at me and give me a distain look before heading inside making me to shake my head.

I saunter inside the hospital just in time munirah is coming from the pediatric ward exit, she have the little boy in her hand as the familiar doctor talk to her while she nod attentively.
Kareem now in his 8months he looks really healthy and seems to be smart like any other babies, even though his facial and physical features one could easily tell he's a special baby but nonetheless he is a cute baby, I walk to where munirah is and exchange pleasantries with the doctor before reaching to collect the boy but she decline me, I didn't protest I wait for the doctor to finish his speech and walk away.
