CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
Peace. Most people speak about it as though it's a very easy thing to achieve but then it is easy to achieve the ability to create external peace where you are harmonious with everyone it's easy but peace in the heart it's difficult, to accept some certain things and learn to live with it or try to suppress despite how it hurts to make peace with your inner self to accept life how it's been thrown on us is certainly the most difficult and painful experience of peace, and munirah knows she's battling the internal,self peace.
Making peace with herself and accepting the fact that she will be in this marriage regardless, she has learn to live without Kareem even though some days Abdul randomly brings the little boy around,
She is currently doing her clinical experience at the hospital which takes her mind off some of her personal problems, there's really nothing enticing going on in her life at the moment she goes to work, come back home and that's just the routine, some days her health randomly causes her discomfort but nothing serious, her marital life with Abdul is something she doesn't like thinking much about it because she still doesn't know what benefit the marriage is giving to her, shagari advices her to pause with the IVF issue after she suffered a serious lungs infection earlier hopefully next months they can be able to start the procedure but then at same time she's not even sure if that's what she wants,
What did she want?
She doesn't know but one thing is certain she's not happy?
But why can't she be happy when Abdul always trying his best to pleased her but she isn't pleased with herself let alone to be pleased with someone,
It's been a tremendous 3 months since they resolve the dispute with Aisha.
She is currently at halimah's place they are waiting for kubrah to come over so they could go to Abdullahi's parents house, Hudah's wedding was postponed countless time and this time her family probably are fed up with her excuses.
"Next year I will be ready he agreed."Halimah says as munirah just stare at her, apparently halimah decided not to be pregnant because she feel she wasn't ready the issue caused a serious dispute but the two seems to have resolve their differences, kubrah is expecting which isn't a surprise since she has mentioned wanting to start her family as soon as she marry, Amnah met a white guy at school which she brought home from school but her father isn't interested and kicked against it, so many things popping and everyone seems to be battling one thing or the other.
"What took you long?"Halimah scold once aisha enter the parlor.
"I fall asleep,
Don't blame me you won't understand."kubrah says sighing exhausted and sit on the couch making munirah to laugh.
"Look at how you are doing,
There's no bumps yet you are acting like your bump has full everywhere nobody will know you are pregnant until you tell them."munirah says and kubrah sigh.
"Let me rest small then we will go,
Who's car are we using?
Finally this girl is getting married we will rest,
Let her go there and do the maturity,
I heard she will be staying in same compound with her mother in law."kubrah says and I give her a questionable look.
"Impossible,
That's not even right,
Aside not staying in this place she gets to share compound with her mother in-law?"munirah says and kubrah snort.
"I don't feel bad for that girl,
More over the woman is her mum friend so it won't be that bad,
I don't think if it will cause problem her mum would have agreed,
I heard his sister doesn't like the Hudah apparently he was dating the girls best friend and the mum introduced Hudah to him and he broke up with that one and settle for Hudah."Halimah says and munirah release a heavy breath they continue with the chitchat and after a while they leave the house to the venue.
