"Please call Aisha with your number for me,
I have been calling her she's not answering
Since yesterday."munirah says standing with one hand akimbo as she scroll her phone screen with the other.
Abdullahi ignore her, he divorced Aisha yesterday and he's sure by now she has leave to the north,
He doesn't think their marriage was meant to be,
It was on a base of lies and deception how can he ever trust her after what she did,
He hasn't tel munirah yet and he knows this will cause a lot of problem between them but atleast now they have each other, he's a one man wife.
"Abdul."she whined dramatically as usual.
"Aisha is going to the north today because I have divorced her."
"Ehnnnn."she says confused.
"You have divorced her?"munirah ask the way she reiterated the sentence make Abdul to look up at her.
"Yes."
"Why?
For what reason?
What did she do?
With who's permission?
Did you even hear yourself?
Someone that just loss her son to death and she's freaking pregnant....heavily pregnant,
What did she do?"munirah ask and Abdul ignores her, no way he can share such thing with munirah doesn't matter how close she and Aisha are now he's certain Aisha wouldn't want munirah to know about Kareem's real identity it's already bad she knows he's not his own biological dad.
"What did she do?"munirah ask again now dialing Aisha contact again and it's switch off.
"Abdul!"she yell and he looks up.
"Why did you divorced Aisha?"
"Because I don't want to be with her."
"It's a lie,
What happened?"munirah ask calmly but abdul isn't gonna fall for it he ignores her and leave the parlor heading upstairs not in the best of mood.
Munirah just stare at him baffled as he walk up the stairs until he disappeared out of sight, she dial Aisha contact again and it's switched off, she called Abdullahi's mum immediately and tell her about what he just said and the woman seems to be as surprised as she herself, she thought of several reasons or what would pushed Abdullahi to ruled out such harsh verdict and she couldn't come up with a better explanation, she believe the possibility of Aisha telling him about Kareem's identity is zero because they had the discussion over again and she did managed to convinced Aisha not to say a thing,
She was restless and confused, she kept trying Aisha's contact but it wasn't going through at the end she was impatient enough and decide to go check on her at home herself but she arrived and the security told her Aisha travels that morning which makes munirah to sigh, she take the long drive back home before calling Aisha's stepmum, the woman didn't sound appealing and when munirah ask about Aisha the woman told her Aisha had arrived safely and has slept off to get rid of stress munirah leave the message to Aishat stepmum pleading on her behalf for aisha to please call her when she wakes up.
Sitting in the parlor staring at the television munirah still couldn't place a finger on what the matter is, she would have asked but she doesn't really want to sound nosy, she stand up just in time she heard Abdul voice coming down from the stairs, she pause with hands akimbo as she adjust the oxygen container bag she do carry around.
