BUSANI

I use the kitchen door to walk in the house. I'm surprised to see Luh and Mbusi still up at this time of the night. I thought everyone would be sleeping by now. I head towards them to wish them good night but Luh starts to cry. I stop because whatever is happening is a private conversation between them and I wouldn't want to impose.

I wonder what got Luh so upset. I hope they didn't have a fight with Maya because that would hurt me but I don't that would make her cry. I head to our bedroom, open the door and walk in. I take off my shoes and then walk to her side of the bed. I sit down, kiss her cheek expecting her to wake up but she's asleep.

She must be really tired but this is worrying me because I couldn't talk to her last night and today again and now I find her sleeping. I don't know but something is telling me that she is not okay. I head to the bathroom, quickly shower then go to the kitchen to eat something since I am hungry.

My brother and Luh are in the kitchen and he's making sandwiches.
“I want one” I go to Luh and kiss her cheek.
“How are you my brother's beautiful wife?”
She smiles. “I've been better.” I drape my arm around her shoulder and she lays her head on my chest. “Tell me what he did so I can beat him up”

She laughs. “It's not him. Is Maya still sleeping?”
“She is, I guess she's tired”
“She complained about a headache since yesterday when we came back to meet Sims.” Ah that explains why she was crying.
I take a seat and face her. “She made you cry, what did she say?”

“A whole lot Busani and I regretted asking Maya to accompany me because had I known what Sims was going to do or say, I would have gone to see her by myself.”
“She said things about me that made Maya upset?”
“That was her plan but it failed. She thought Maya didn't know that you are bisexual and just started talking.”
“Please tell me.”

She starts from the beginning and tells us again while my brother continues to make sandwiches for us and some tea. When Luh is finished her face is red and she's crying again.
“I'm sorry she said those things to you. Sims is pushing you away and she doesn't realize that the only reason she's still breathing today is you. We could have just killed her the moment she started to cause problems for us.”

“The big guns she's talking about, who are they?” I sighed.
“Maya's sister is representing her. Emihle  Makhoba.”
“That's why she's so confident.” Mbuso shakes his head.
“Luh I didn't want to do this but I'm going to drag Sims and use everything we have on her against her.”
“I tried but it's now out of my hands. I told her to let it go because someone was going to get hurt and she laughed at me before. I couldn't understand because she knows how all of you operate”
“She's going to use all that she knows against Bonga  to prove that she's not scared.”

“Before we left, I told her if she brings our personal things then she's dead. She's a dead woman walking.”
“We can't kill her, she's the mother of our brother's children. Sims is angry that our brother couldn't stay faithful to her and now she's angry and wants to take everyone down.”
“There's nothing we haven't done to convince her that they should share the children between them. I don't know what we must do anymore because she's clearly not backing down.” Mbuso says.

Sims just needs something that will scare her and get in line and I know what to do. She left us no choice but to do this.
“I'll deal with it. Leave it to me.”
“I don't want to know what you're planning to do but just stop her because the children need both of them. Goodnight” Luh takes her sandwich and leaves us.

“You were supposed to be home hours ago, where were you?” He puts the plate on the table then we eat on the same plate.
“I had something to do and it took longer than I thought.”
“Hmm”
“Don't start.”
“What are you planning to do with sims?”
