Annie's P.O.V.
"You did what?!" I screamed.
No, no, no. Luke couldn't read that letter. No! I ignored Alicia's attempts to apologize and ran out the front door.

Luke's P.O.V.
"She left? To go where?"
It was evident that Alicia was worried.
"I don't know. I'm so sorry."
I shook my head.
"It's fine. I'll go find her."
Annie liked adventure and I knew she had wanted to run away before. She always ran away from her problems.
She liked the beach. But there are so many beaches. Maybe that diner!
So that's exactly where I went.
Too bad I was too late.

Annie's P.O.V.
I didn't have anything. I just took the car and ran. I made my way around a familiar bend. Well, almost.
I didn't even get a chance to scream before I was hit full on.
And then it was dark.

Luke's P.O.V.
Traffic. On a small road? In the middle of nowhere? Something was wrong. I got out and froze.
No. No. Please, no.
I ran to the beat up car. It looked all too familiar. It was over the railing and slowly falling into the small lake down below.
"We got a body!"
Oh god. No. I've never seen this car before. It won't be her. I can't be her.
But I knew I was wrong as soon as I saw her tiny body layed out on that stretcher.
"Kid, you gotta move."
"No! Annie!"
I was being dragged away by cops and people getting out of their cars were looking at me funny but I didn't care.
"Annie! Annie!"

Annie's P.O.V.
"Annie! Annie!" I could faintly hear the voice screaming for me. It was Luke. I tried to scream back but I couldn't. I couldn't force my voice to work. What was happening. The voices I once heard were getting more distant. And then all at once they were gone.

Luke's P.O.V.
I shot straight up. I was sweating and breathing heavily.
A nightmare.
But it felt so real.
I grabbed my phone from the charger and shakily dialed her number.
She picked up.
"Luke? It's 2 in the morning. Are you okay?"
I broke down.
"I'm fine. I just...I needed to make sure it was just a dream."
"A dream? What happened? Wait, hold that thought. I'm coming over. Leave your window open."
I nodded even though she couldn't see me and hung up.
After getting her letter two days ago I've been on edge. I don't think she knew I had gotten it though. She just treated me normally.
About a half an hour later I heard a light tap on the window sill and watched her climb in. She was wearing sweats and a baggy shirt.
I started to cry.
Annie sat on the bed and pulled me close.
"Shhh. It's okay. I swear it's okay. I'm okay. You're okay. Everyone is okay. Calm down."
I ended up telling her everything. About how I got her letter and about the dreams I was having. I even told her how I felt. And how I broke up with Aubree the day before.
She listened and didn't speak.
After everything was done and said I pulled her to me and asked her to stay the rest of the night. She accepted and curled up next to me.
I wouldn't ever let my dream come true.
I would make sure to protect her all day every day.
Annie would be safe. I would see to it myself.

A/N: sorry I didn't update yesterday. But anyway, She's Kinda Hot was released this morning! It's so good! What do you guys think of it?
