1 Hrs later

The first light of dawn trickled through the thick canopy, casting an ethereal glow over the secluded pond. Dew glistened on tangled vines and towering trees, while lilies floated serenely on the water’s surface, their petals skimming softly across the pond. The mirrorlike surface reflected the pale blue of the sky, blending with the lush greens around it in a tranquil, dreamlike tableau.

“Think you’re up for some fun?” Jungkook’s voice sliced through the stillness, gentle yet playful, as he bent down, letting Jimin climb onto his back. With an excited gleam in his eye, Jimin scrambled up, wrapping his arms around Jungkook’s neck and his legs around his waist, laughing as he held on tight.

“Always! Bet I’ll beat you to the water,” Jimin teased, his voice muffled by laughter as he squeezed Jungkook's shoulders, giving him a little nudge to move faster.

Jungkook chuckled, tightening his grip on Jimin’s legs as he carried him forward. “Oh yeah? Let’s see you try!” With a playful bounce, Jungkook jolted him slightly, making Jimin giggle and hold on tighter, pressing his face into the side of Jungkook's neck as they neared the pond.

When they reached the edge, Jungkook bent down, letting Jimin slide off his back. He turned, catching Jimin’s gaze with a soft smile, reaching out to gently flick his forehead. “Race you? You better not chicken out.”

“Who’s chickening out? Not me!” Jimin shot back, grinning wide, and before Jungkook could react, he took off, his laughter echoing as he dashed toward the water.

“Hey, no fair!” Jungkook called after him, kicking off his shoes before sprinting to catch up. Reaching Jimin, he grabbed him by the waist and spun him around, making Jimin shriek in surprise before bursting into laughter, clutching onto Jungkook’s arms for balance.

Jungkook’s fingers lingered as he unclasped the choker from Jimin’s neck, setting it carefully on a nearby rock. His hands slid down to Jimin's waist, giving him a light squeeze. “Ready to get in?” he murmured, his gaze warm as he took in the flush on Jimin's cheeks, pink from the early morning chill.

“Only if you keep up, hyung,” Jimin teased, flashing a challenging grin as he tugged Jungkook’s shirt. Jungkook chuckled, pulling his own shirt off and tossing it aside, then playfully nudging Jimin towards the water.

As soon as they stepped in, Jimin gave Jungkook a mischievous grin, flicking water his way. “Come on, slowpoke!”

“Oh, you’re in for it now!” Jungkook laughed, dodging the splash and diving under the surface, resurfacing right beside Jimin, who squealed and tried to wriggle away. Jungkook's arms wrapped around him, pulling him close for a moment, his laugh deep and rich as he lifted Jimin up, giving him another quick tickle.

“Hyung, stop!” Jimin laughed, squirming in his hold, his eyes bright as he tried to catch his breath.

“Oh really? You started it!” Jungkook teased, his tone warm and light. He let Jimin go, watching as he scrambled toward a large, smooth rock sloping down into deeper water.

“Last one there’s a loser!” Jimin called out, sticking out his tongue as he climbed up, glancing over his shoulder to see Jungkook following with an amused smile.

Jungkook caught up, placing his hands on Jimin’s waist as he lifted him a little to help him up. They both laughed, glancing at each other before sliding down together, water splashing around them as they landed with a shared thrill.

Floating beside each other, they let their laughter drift with the calm of the pond, shoulders bumping as they lay side by side, gazing up at the dawn-painted sky.
