The Ace & The Queen of hearts

Chapter 18

Aces POV

"Ace?!" Luffy said as he look at me with concern. I just chuckled and stood up. I rubbed my jaw. She's gotten stronger. I grabbed my bag and smiled at Luffy and I gave him a paper.

"Sorry everyone, but let's meet again!" I said and jumped off the boat and onto my skiff. I quickly followed the stream that melody left.. In hope that I could catch up to her.

To think we had to meet like that and to not even get the chance to explain.

I just kept following the stream she left and it lead me to the ship I haven't seen in so long.

I tied my skiff up to the boat and climbed up to be greeted with the whole crew on the top deck and melody and pops in the middle. No one noticed me hop on board so I stood in the back apparently all the attention was on melody. I decided to listen to them as well as the rest of the crew.

"Welcome back my daughter how was the assignment you made it home earlier then expected." Pops said and I smiled at hearing his voice it had been so long.

"The assignment was a failure. I didn't meet the messenger." Melody said.

"Oh then why back so soon?" Pops said and melody blushed and all the crew gasped as if she hadn't done that in awhile. Something I hadn't seen in awhile.

"Father who is the messenger?" Melody asked quietly.

"By your reaction I assume you did see the messenger and by the fact that the messenger is here I assume you know who he is." At first melody processed the words and then she began to search the crowd only for her eyes to land on me and then a hole was made as everyone realized I was here. Bay and Marco stood next to Mel. They all faced me and in the silence pops spoke.

"My son welcome home." Pops said.

"I'm back." I replied and with that the crowd started to cheer and I was pushed to the front and hugged and circled around. Marco came up to me and gave me a bro hug. Along with a lot of the crew except one. Melody. I looked around but she was no where to be found.

"Tonight lets celebrate the return of our brother and son!" Pops yelled and everyone cheered.

Later on after everyone greeted me just before dinner I made my way to my room to put my stuff down.

My room was just how I left it and it wasn't dirty it was actually clean. I knew someone had to be cleaning it. I set everything down and left my room.  I closed the door and was greeted with a punch to the gut from a blunette who happens to be best friends with melody.

"Well that felt good." She said as she removed her fist from my stomach. I looked up trying to breathe and saw bay and Marco standing together.

"And your reason for trying to kill me is?" I said and Marco chuckled.

"Melody!" Bay replied.

"Makes sense." I said and stood up from recovering from her blow.

"We are headed to dinner want to join us?" Marco asked. I smiled.

"Depends am I going to be a third wheel for this married couple?" I said and bay blushed.

"Engaged! Marco doesn't want to have a wedding with out his best man." Bay said and glared at me. She has a lot more hate for me than I remember.

"Me? Your best Man?" I asked a little shocked and excited. Marco only nodded. I gave them a group hug which seemed to lessen the anger bay was holding on.

"I accept!" I yelled. The happiness for them showed on my face.

"Great now all you have to do is make nice with the maid of honor!" Marco said and patted my shoulder and immediately my smile turned to a frown.

"Oh no.." I said

"Oh yes and she has a lot bottled up this past year so good luck with that oh and we've been waiting six months for you so the wedding will be this weekend!" Bay said. I sighed. "Make nice now!" Bay said and pushed me to a door.

Then bay and Marco walked away.

I smiled at the door and grabbed the door knob. When I opened it I stood still at the sight I front of me.

Melody was only in her underwear changing. She looked at me and furiously blushed and as if something clicked in my head I walked in and closed the door behind me.

She had a fistful of ice and threw it at my head but I dodged it and slowly but confidently I made my way to her. She seemed smaller than I remembered except her chest which I had to try my best not to look at.

"Ace.." She whispered. But she couldn't refuse me when I was right I front of her. "What are you.." I gently lifted her chin and slammed my lips together with hers. At first she was still but then slowly she wrapped her arms around my neck and she kissed me back. I didn't know how much I missed her until this moment. Her hands slipped to my chest and she gently pushed me away. I looked at her face and saw the tears in her eyes.

"Mel." I said her name in a whisper and the tears began to fall faster out of her eyes and I pulled her into a hug that lasted for a long time.

"Im sorry Mel." I said and she began to cry in my chest. "I'm sorry"
