Melody POV

~Future Melody's Thoughts~

Time seemed to slip away faster and faster every second I was away from Ace. Each minute that I remember of the past there is always a regretful side effect of what I could have done differently. Every moment seems to be planted in my brain.....Every day gets harder.... Ace.

"Oy Why is it so dark down here!" Luffy whined as we walked the Level 2 corridor  of impel Down. I sighed and followed behind him. I also kept a close eye on the shitty clown. Ace. He was all i could think about though...... "OY MELODY!" I bumped straight into luffy's chest. I looked at him and punched his head.

"Watch where your going LUFFY!" I yelled at him as he rubbed his head. The clown laughed behind us and I glared at him. He seemed to get the point and shut up. I heard Luffy muffle an ow. I looked back at him and he pouted at me. Which made me blush at how cute he looked. "Sorry what is it?" I asked and he smiled.

"I smell something good!" Luffy casually said and I ended up punching him again.

"Would you focus!" I yelled at him. I started to walk ahead and took in the sight. It was like a weird dark creepy dungeon. It gave me goosebumps honestly. Then I heard something behind us. I stopped in our tracks and took a battle stance. Luffy turned around and so did the clown. They froze as I glared into the Jalier's eyes. Basilisk a snake born into a chicken. Ew. It was like something was trying to create a dragon and totally mixed the wrong breeds. After a second I was about to attack until I felt two pair of hands on each side of my arms. They hooked into mine and dragged me backwards at a fast motion.

"Wait Luffy!" I yelled and kicked but they were to strong and they dragged us down the halls really fast. Finally they stopped and the Jailer was no where to be seen except we stopped right infront of a ton of Cells. I glanced around us and alot of the prisoners seemed surprised to see us but most of them didnt even flinch. The boys released my arms and i slapped both of them. I heard some laughs from the cells but ignored them and began scowling the two boys infront of me. Buggy just hid behind Luffy while Luffy blushed and repeated I'm sorry a ton of time.

"Please free us!" A prisoner begged us from the cell. I ignored him but The clown approached the Prisoners. "Please we beg of you!" the prisoner said again. There was only a few begging while the others sat there in self pity. I continued to watch as the clown made conversation. Then i noticed Luffy had began to talk to someone. He had a 3 on his head made of hair. I just sighed and watched as Buggy freed the men except quickly as he did I felt a horribly strong presence near us. I took Luffy hand.

"We need to go!" i told Luffy. "Something dangerous is coming!" I yelled causing all the rioting prisoners to freeze. "Buggy get us to the next level now!" I ordered but he only glared at me.

"I lied to you! I dont know the way I just wanted the map!" He said victoriously. Now it was my turn to glare at him.

"Wahhhh?!?!?!?!" Luffy yelled. I approached buggy but then stopped as the power I had felt suddenly burst through the floor and made me freeze in my tracks. I glanced around and saw the reaction of everyone they all felt it. Quickly the prisoners ran back into their cells.

"Wait this is your chance to escape!" Buggy yelled but the prisoners pushed passed them. I finally figured out that buggy was going to use the riot to escape. I couldnt help but laugh at his failed plan but I soon ignored this as the Power came closer.

"What is it?" I asked aloud.

"Its the Sphinx." The man with the 3 on his head said. Buggy came back over and had a look of terror in his eyes.

"The Sphinx!??!!...... Listen I know the way to Level 3!" Buggy yelled.

"Why should I believe you!" Luffy retorted angrily. The power was coming closer and closer.

"We dont have time for this Luffy we need to go now!" I yelled at him.

"I know the way Mrs." The man with the 3 said and I nodded. "I can take you!" The man said. I nodded and we all turned around ready to follow the Man except we were stopped by the beast infront of us.

"This isnt the sphinx but we will have to get past all the beast!" Mr. 3 said and with that we all began to run ahead attacking the monsters infront of us.

"Shit!" I yelled out in pain as a claw scratched my arm. I backed up and quickly shot three ice balls at the beast. It froze along with its companions behind him. The scratch began to burn slowly and it took all i had not to cry out in pain. There was only so little time to save Ace. I needed to forget about my pain and focus. Luffy although saw the attack and stopped the fight with his monster fast by a smooth knock out. He rushed to my side and looked at my wound closely. I blushed at his kindness but pulled my arm out of his grip. "It's fine!" I said and looked away from him. Just when he was about to say something Mr. 3 called out to us from up ahead.

"The end of the floor is just ahead!" He yelled and I pushed past Luffy and darted forward in the successful attempt to avoid Luffy's concern. When Mr.3 stopped I ran right into him and I fell back into Luffy who caught me and helped me up.

"What the Heck!" I yelled and froze at the over whelming power rising in the corridor. I froze as well and watched as a Paw hit the ground escaping the shadows ahead. Each step cause an explosion of power that felt so unbelievable. The Sphinx appeared in front of us. A purple fluffy Lion who seemed rather cute but terrifyingly vicious. Mr. 3 and Buggy suddenly turned around and made a run for it. I just let them. I knew they weren't going to help us. I stood my ground and stared at the over sized kitty. "Lets go LUFFY!" I yelled as I started towards the sphinx. "Mizu Mizu SLIDE!!" I ice skated rapidly to the beast. Luffy sling shot himself beside me towards the beast as well. There were yells and chants from prisoners all around us. My attacks had small affects and I could tell the lion was getting used to my speed. Point was proven when his paw rammed into my side sending me flying into the wall. I spat some blood and glared at the over sized cat. I chuckled as Luffy charged at him in such an aggressive way probably because I was hurt on my arm.

Luffy and the beast went head on in a battle. I watched in pain from the side because I was shooed away by Lufffy. I laughed how he yelled at me when I tried to help him. The battle wasn't to long at one moment Luffy went into this Third gear? He was so fast and Powerful he almost destroyed the whole floor but with that the gaurds Knew of our presence and some of them caught on to what we were really after being in this damn prison. They ran to tell the head of the facility which I tried to stop them but they got past me. I finally noticed the cat fall. Then suddenly it went quiet no shouts or yells no loud boots running on the floor toward us. I glanced around as Luffy stood infront of the fallen beast. I smiled because the next second all prisoners left there cells and began to riot. This time giving us the chance to get past the soldiers and to the next floor. I grabbed onto the clowns collar and Mr. 3 collar and banged there heads together.

"You're not going anywhere until you get us to Ace!" I demanded and the guys only laughed at me.

"Why should I help you? I already have what I came for....." The clown said but stopped as he searched for his important item.

"Looking for this?" I said as I held up the map.

The clown scowled at me but I just smiled an stuffed the map down my shirt and froze it to my chest.

"We don't have much time lets go!"

Finally we began our journey into the next level..... In aware of the horrible event closing in as time flew beyond our reach.
