Chapter 20: The outer ring of new eridu

•M/n was conflicted, on one hand he had promised Grace and the rest of Belobog that he would hang out with them as soon as possible, on the other hand Zhu Yuan had told him that the shadow stealer's drug facility was located in the outer ring of new eridu, a place that public security had no authority, and had asked him to go look into it since he has no legal connection with pubsec. Currently M/n was on the phone with Grace•

Grace (phone):seriously M/n? Come on, i know you like the girl but come on....

M/n: *blushing* W-wha?! I-i dont?! S-shut up! *sigh*......im sorry Grace really, i promise to come see you all as soon as possible......

Grace (phone):.........*sigh* okay fine, but when you do, we're gonna look for the Core of Valour. Got it?

M/n: seriously? Grace come on we both know it isn't real.....

Grace (phone): it is real and i will find it!

M/n: *sigh* alright Grace, I'll help you find it.....

Grace (phone): thanks M/n! Goodluck on your trip!

M/n: thanks Grace, I'll see you later....

•hanging up M/n remembers the conversation he had with Zhu Yuan a few days after he assisted them with the shadow stealers•

(Flashback)

•currently Zhu Yuan and M/n were sat at a cafe discussing the case with the shadow stealers•

Zhu Yuan: And so we finally got them to talk, especially the boss, when we threatened to bring you in interrogate him he basically threw answers at us. What did you do to him?

M/n: *sweatdrop* eh heh......dont worry about it....

Zhu Yuan: hmph, alright well anyway, because public security dosent have any jurisdiction outside of new eridu im asking you to go for us M/n......please.....

M/n: okay.

Zhu Yuan: i know it might be a bi- wait what?

M/n: yeah I'll go, its fine *smiling*

Zhu Yuan: oh thank goodness, thank you M/n really, i mean it....

(Flashback end)

•sighing to himself M/n slowly makes his way to the contact who Zhu said would get him to the outer ring, apparently he was pretty trustworthy and helped public security alot, he went by the name "driver" and was pretty quiet for most of the ride. Whilst driving out there M/n would take his time enjoying the beautiful scenery which was held in the outer ring, although it was ruined by all the hollow's which had developed out there due to a lack of advancements in technology•

•after what felt like hours of driving the car would finally slow down near an old wildwest looking town, called "outer ring" as the car came to a stop M/n got out and handed driver a few dennies for his services before turning as he drove off. Walking into the town with a look of interest he is quickly stopped as he blocks and attack from a steel bat with spikes and pushes the attacker back•

???: who are you and why are you here?!

•before he can even answer her three small boars jump at him from all sides as the attacker rushes back in to continue her onslaught, however she wouldn't expect for all her attacks to do little to no damaged to M/n. The boars kept their attacks up and constantly jumped at M/n who was merely countering and pushing them away with ease without harming them•
