Chapter 27: Proposition and Preparation

•A clear blue sky and a city filled with construction machinery is all M/n currently sees whilst looking out the window, cranes raising materials high enough for the tallest skyscrapers to be built upon, dump trucks slowly moving debris to be recycled and cement pourers slowly filling potholes left after the battle•

•it had been a week since M/n had woken up and this was what he had been fixated on for all that time, he wished he could go down and help, to use his strength to rebuild what he believes he destroyed, to help protect people from the pain of something like this happening again•

•but he cant, he's been advised by Lycaon, Kishi and Azamuku to not try and use Reverse energy technique to heal, the reason they gave was satisfactory to M/n, his body had been so far damaged in such a short period of time without energy to reinforce it, so if he tried to heal with reverse energy it could cause complications•

•he didnt quite understand what complications since nothing of the sort had happened before but he trusted his father's words, he had much more experience when dealing with energy and the nature of reverse energy technique so it was natural he would trust him•

•regardless over the last week Kishi and Lycaon had made sure to visit whenever they could, each talking about how they were dealing with their own problems from the situation but also trying to cheer M/n up•

•Kishi mostly talked about how Grace and Koleda were coming along, luckily he, Ben and Anton had managed to somehow convince the two to take a break from overworking themselves and rest their bodies properly, he talked about how hard the two were pushing themselves just to try and push down their feelings, it hurt to hear•

•on the other hand Lycaon mostly talked about the reconstruction of the Victoria House Keeping Cafe, especially after the criminal known as "Unveil" did alot of damage, he talked about how much Corin and Rina, and even somewhat Ellen, worried about my health, that was some nice news•

•Another lovely thing which took place was Zhu Yuan's visits, she would make sure to go straight from work to visit M/n, usually the closing visitor hours of the hospital was 2-5pm and they reopened them after that, which was perfect for Zhu Yuan to come see him•

•she would bring little snacks and medicine for him to take to try and make him feel better, physically and mentally, she knew how tough this situation had been on M/n, on everyone. She was just happy to see him awake after so long of him being unconscious•

•she would speak for hours about how her day had gone and M/n would eat it up easily, wanting to know as much as he could about her, but she would more so be curious about M/n's life, the two would ask questions about eachother and laugh about stupid stories they had•

•even thought i had only been 1 week it felt like they had already grown closer, they had been enjoying each other's company, but soon Zhu Yuan knew she would have to confess•

•just seeing M/n and checking up on him wasnt the only reason she was visiting, and she hadnt been telling the full truth to Lycaon and Kishi either•

•The criminal investigation team even before the attack on Lumina square, public security precinct and the Victoria House Keeping cafe had been keeping a close eye on what was occuring in the smaller parts of New Eridu•

•drug smuggled of large quantities, disappearances going unexplained and more dangerous situations between small time gangs had been occuring, they weren't sure of what the cause was•
