As I walked down the street, passing the line of fans hoping to get a ticket to the show that started blocks away from the arena, I couldn't help but become the crazy fangirl I was deep down inside. I had gotten the tickets for the concert for my 17th birthday three days in advance because lucky for me the concert fell on my birthday exactly. I had everything I needed. My birthday girl tiara, my Justin Bay t-shirt, my knee high neon green socks, and my beautiful best friend on my arm. It was going to be the best night of my life. But I never knew just how amazing. it was a night that changed my life.
"I can't believe you are making me come to this stupid concert." My best friend Nikki whined as we made our way to the doors that many other younger girls in similar outfits were streaming through.
"It's my birthday Nik." I responded as if I were hurt, "This is your gift to me."
"Yes, Kacie, this is your seventeenth birthday, and I hate to point this out but you are probably the only creepy seventeen year old obsessed fan here." but as Nikki said this I couldn't help but notice she was looking around a huge smile plastered on her face, making me laugh as she spotted a group of girls from our school.
"Oh yes I am totally the only one of my kind." I said grabbing my best friends hand as we walked past a huge group of girls in front of multiple tables selling things like umbrellas, and coffee mugs as well as T-shirts all plastered with lyrics from Justin's biggest song, , "One day I'll find you." and all that I could think about was how much fun this was going to be.
Which would probably explain as to how when I turned the corner I rammed into a thing I had never expected to find at a Justin Bay concert. As I turned the corner I ran into what seemed to be a teenage boy, although he did look as if he didn't want to be seen he was a teenage guy, and I think I might have fallen in love, even though I was on the ground being laughed at by more than a couple of people including my supposed best friend. The boy was wearing a grey sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head and a purple hat under that hiding his face very well. But if his body was any indication his face was probably very attractive.
"Oh wow," He said out of breath, "I am so sorry. Did I hurt you?" he asked helping me straighten out.
"No, don't worry you didn't." I said stepping back next to my best friend taking in the view.
"Good." He said looking around what looked like nervously, "I'm sorry I really don't mean to hit and run, but I'm very very late and need to get going." and with that he literally ran away from me. That's the affect that I usually have on guys, they hide their face, make an excuse to leave, then run in the opposite direction. Yep, that's what I do to them.
As I was watching the back of the guy that had just caused me to earn about five different bruises Nikki dragged me towards the entrance for where our seats were. The arena was packed, there were thousands of fangirls and their mothers screaming and laughing and chattering excitedly. And we were there right in time because as we made our way to our seats in the third row, the lights went down and the voice of a big scary man came on.
"Are you all ready to have some fun!" The voice yelled earning a fair share of girlish squeals, "Well then lets get this party started!" and with that huge pillars of flame shot up from the ground and the silhouette of Justin Bay shot up from under the stage behind the smoke. And as the smoke faded away and Justin Bay started his first song I got to see what he was wearing and apparently so did Nikki because she screamed in my ear, because as the smoke cleared I saw that he was wearing black jeans, a gray jacket, and a purple hat. He was the generous giver of my bruises.
"I guess he was late!" Nikki yelled at me laughing uncontrollably. As I stared u p at Justin Bay, the guy I had always dreamt of meeting, who I just accidentally met about ten minutes before. But I didn't really listen to Nikki as she spoke because I couldn't get my head wrapped around the fact that I had just touched Justin Bay and my ears began to ring as I slapped myself mentally for not recognizing him and acting like a complete idiot.
