"How can you be here? I just saw you run that way!" I whisper yelled at Justin who was laughing slightly.
"That was Wade. He covered for me so I could make my way through the back," Justin explained, "But I saw you so I grabbed you and then that whole thing happened." He said referring to the kiss we shared.
"You kissed me back!" I whined as Justin started pulling me down an empty hallway, "My boyfriend won't like that." Justin stopped mid run making me run into the back of him with an audible umph.
"Wait." He said spinning quickly around, "You never said anything about a boyfriend." he crossed his arms looking at me, "And you kissed me he sure isn't going to like that you are right."
"Shut up!" I yelled at him as he laughed walking down the hallway quickly, "How did you find this short cut?" I asked him as I caught up with him, "I've gone here almost four years and have never been down this hallway."
Justin shoved his hands in his pockets and did his signature saunter before turning his head slowly and dramatically whispering, "I have my people." then turning and sauntering some more making me laugh. I know I've only known the guy a week and all but he was awesome. I think he's quickly taking Kyle's place as best guy friend. Good thing Kyle has already been promoted. The thought made me smile, Kyle was my boyfriend. I was dating the hottest guy in the entire school. my life rocked, even though I know about all the other girls he's been with...Gross.
"Dude stop thinking so much. It looks like it's hurting you." Justin said taking me out of my trance as we entered my Drama classroom where everything was insane. Everyone was running around with each other practicing their monologues which weren't due for another month and a half. Even Ms. Stewart, the drama teacher, looked freaked out. What on Earth was going on?
"Kacie!" I heard Kyle scream from somewhere in the chaos then after searching for a second saw him barreling towards me and wrapping me up into a huge bear hug, "You are awesome!" I looked over Kyles shoulder about to protest that I had nothing to do with this but saw Justin press his finger to his lips.
"Well yeah," I said pulling away from Kyle, "I mean you act like you are just realizing this." I said before Kyle planted a huge kiss on my lips and ran away back towards his friends and I stared into a smiling Justin face, "What exactly did I do?" I asked Justin but all he did was smile making me uncomfortable, what was he thinking, "What?" I asked him unable to take the staring any longer.
His smile disappeared before he said quietly, "I'm gonna go meet the boyfriend" and darted towards where Kyle walked over to, "I am so excited!" He yelled and started to skip making me chase him, "Hi I'm Justin." Justin said shoving his hand into Kyle's face in order for him to shake, "And you are?" Kyle stared at Justin as if he were confused at what was going on, "You are supposed to shake it." Justin said shoving his hand further towards Kyle who took it and shook it tentatively making me laugh as I made my way towards them.
"Justin," I said taking his hand and putting it by his side, "Jesus don't be a jerk."
Justin laughed grabbing my hand and wrapping it behind his back making Kyle's friends eyes widen. Which made Kyle grab my other hand and pull me towards him making me rip my hand from Justin's, "So when do those auditions start?" Kyle asked me. Auditions? What was he talking about?
"Now." Justin said grabbing my hand and pulling me onto the mini stage keeping my hand in his, "Hey guys." Justin said towards the now seated class, "My name is Justin Bay. And as you may know I am going to star in a new movie coming out next summer and we are in need in some fresh faces. And since this school is in the top ten drama blah, blah, blah," He said trailing off, "I'm not going to lie to you. You all know why we chose your school." Justin squeezed my hand, "So thank Kacie when you are starring next to big wigs in the industry." Everyone turned their stares towards me, "Now Johnny please come and take over whilst I catch up with my best friend."
And with that Justin dragged me to the front row of the theatre as three guys walked up onstage, "Justin what the hell is going on?" I asked him as the man in the middle explained that he was the director of Justin's new movie and the men by his sides were the producer and screenwriter and that they are going to audition us for the three open roles left. The three main characters besides Justin, "Justin is he serious?" I asked him getting excited.
When he nodded I laughed loudly and kissed him on the cheek, "You are the best!" I whispered closely to his ear, "I can try out too right?" I asked him as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"Actually," he said smiling and hugging me, "If you want it, there is a spot already reserved for you, as my romantic interest." I took a sharp intake of breath, a week of knowing this guy and he was already doing these things for me? Giving my friends roles in big blockbuster movies, giving me a role? Was he serious?
"Gross." I said making him laugh, "But thank you."
