The next morning I woke up to the obnoxious buzzing of my alarm clock. Monday mornings were the worst. What was even worse was that when I turned over I ended up face to face with my best guy friend Kyle who was lying next to me smiling making me scream, which made him laugh.
"Jesus Kace!" He yelled as I quieted, "What's your deal?" he asked as I stood up and glared at him. Kyle was probably the hottest guy at school, every girl wanted him. He was tall, built and had deep sea green eyes that a person could get lost in for hours. He had a strong nose that fell perfectly in the middle of his face and the jaw line of a Baldwin. It was every girl in my high school's dream to wake up next to him. But for me, this happens way to much.
"Kyle what have I said about sneaking in here at night!" I screamed at him pulling some jeans over my boxers which, including a small tank top were all I had on.
"Not to." Kyle said sitting up and climbing out of my bed then turning his focus to a chair in the corner of my room where a gray jacket was slung, "Who's is that?" he asked me looking at me skeptically, "That is a males jacket!" and within a second Kyle was over in the corner grabbing the jacket wriggling his eyebrows at me, "Was a boy over here before me?"
"Totally." I said rolling my eyes as he examined the jacket thoroughly as I gathered my stuff for school, "Now please tell me why you are here." I demanded walking over and grabbing Justin's jacket pulling it close to me.
"Well seeing as how I didn't get to see you yesterday I came by to wish you a happy birthday." he explained to me plastering on a huge fake smile that I could see right through. Kyle got a phone call last night.
"Nikki told you everything didn't she?" I asked him already knowing the answer. Kyle nodded and laughed a little uncomfortably.
"You are probably the only girl who could ever say that that happened to you." he said, "did you like, get his number?" I nodded and opened the door to my personal bathroom but before I stepped in I smiled and blew a kiss to my close friend making him smile slightly as he reached up and caught it. i really loved Kyle, he was the best guy friend a girl could ask for. Whenever I was upset or down he would always know just what to say to make me feel beautiful or loved. But most other girls hated him. they found him rude and crass and often would say that he was way too into himself, an that I should get away from him because he had some sort of bad juju that would rub off on me making me some sort of witch. i found that these girls were usually his exes that thought the two of us were a little too close.
As I walked back into my room toweling my hair dry I noticed that there was a new addition in my room chatting with Kyle, "Ariel, out!" I yelled at my sister thrusting my finger towards the door that led out to the hallway, "Kyle is a disgusting man-whore with whom you do not want to associate yourself with."
Kyle laughed as my sister stood up and marched out of the room, "You're the one whose room he is always in." She said as she left my room slamming the door behind herself.
"Yeah but Kyle's not my type!" I yelled at her before turning to glare at Kyle, "She's fourteen you perv!" I yelled chucking my towel at his unsuspecting face.
"I wasn't going to do anything!" he claimed smiling.
"Kyle I swear to god if you ever-" But I wasn't able to finish my sentence because I was cut off by the generic ring of my cell phone and by Kyle bolting over to my dresser where it was lying and answered it with a cool, "Who's this? I didn't know Kace knew a Justin." he said as I climbed up onto my bed flapping my arms around trying to get him to stop, "Justin from last night? Hmmm...she hasn't mentioned you." and at that I jumped off of my bed and onto my friend earning a yelp from him grabbing the phone and putting it to my ear.
