Within what seemed to be moments after I had fallen asleep I was awoken by a large amount of pressure around my waist making my eyes shoot open to see Justin’s face just inches from mine.
“Wake up sleepy head!” he yelled making me scream and push him off of me failing entirely,” Woah! Getting pretty weak are we?”
“Justin! Off!” I laughed while gasping for air as he rolled off, “I think you’ve gained a few pounds,” I taunted.
“Yeah of pure muscle after carrying you to the car last night,” he came back quickly making me sit up as he kissed his bicep.
“Hurtful words Mr. Bay,” I declared as I climbed out of bed and padded my way out of my room. I could hear a lot of commotion downstairs remembering that my mother was still in town. What were they doing down there that would make that much noise? I found myself thinking. But as we walked into the kitchen I saw what was going on. Pancakes were flying in the air and there was a strange figure by the stove with both mine and justin’s mother.
“kacie! Guess who’s here!” my mother practically screamed, “It’s that guy you’re always talking about,” that’s when I realized who it was.
“Hi logan,” I said walking past him running my hand on his back as I made my way to the coffee.
“What’s up man?” Justin asked as I handed him a cup full of the hot brown liquid, “You need anything?”
“Oh no it’s not anything like that,” Logan wiped his hands on his pants absentmindedly, “I just got a ticked to florida today and was wondering when y’all were going”.
“Noon,” I answered him offering coffe which he kindly declined, “Why?”
“Me too!” Logan laughed grabbeing my glasses off my face and putting them on, “Woah you’re blind! You want to go all together?”
Oh my god Logan Sherman wants to spend like the entire day with me? I couldn’t help but smile as I grabbed my glasses off his face. And justing I thing was feeling a little left out because I felt him walk up behind me and wrap his arms around my waist leaning into me putting all of his weight on my back making me laugh.
“Just let me go get ready real quickly.”
As we made our way to the airport I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in my seat between Justin and Logan. I felt like I was the only one with the ability to speak. The two of them just seemed to clash. But as soon as we got to the airport they both seemed to liven up and get extremely annoyed. How did the paparazzi always know where to find us?
“God I mean I hate flying as it is,” I said leaning my head back in frustration, “But to have to deal with the added annoyance of these stupid people”.
Then the door opened just a crack, big enough for Logan to climb out but small enough not to show that Justin and I were in the car. And much to my relief they all followed him because why would Justin and I be in here? We hardly knew the guy.
“wow what a hero,” Justin laughed sarcastically, “He probably is the one that called them. Being seen with us is like the best thing one can do to get little jumpstart in there career”.
“Which is why he directed them away from us right?” I asked climbing out of the car and pulling him behind me, “face it he’s a nice guy”.
“I’ll believe it when I see it”.
I laughed as I interlocked my fingers with his. This was the first time I felt like a normal kind since I had moved to LA it was nice not to have to hide my face as I walked or hear horrible things from who had never met me before.
“This is nice,” I said swinging our hands violently.
“Yeah I hate when my shoulder is in its socket,” he retorted into my ear as he pressed himself into my side to stop our arms. He may not have said it but I could tell that he was at east as we walked to the security check. He was laughing and playing around and even tried suffocating me with his hat. Which I ended up wearing. It was like we were at home where no one cared about what we were doing. I mean people noticed us but it wasn’t crazy hectic, they just watched us, they didn’t bother us because human beings understand that travelling is already stressful as it is without the added horror of the paps.
As soon as Justin and I got to our terminal we saw Logan getting his ticket checked, we were right on time for the first class check in. I absolutely loved first class, it was the most luxurious thing ever. The seats were so big and comfortable and we got to watch movies under cozy blankets, and we got free soda as well, but I’m sure you get that in coach as well.
“Look at you, taking your sweet time,” Logan waited in the terminal as we caught up to him, “It isn’t everyday you get leisure time in public”.
“Yeah it was pretty beast,” Justin said as he put both his and my carryon up into the overhead compartment as I sat and got myself buckled into my seat, “Yeah I’m bringing that back,” He said as Logan and I stared at him.
As Justin sat down next to me I grabbed his hand tightly waiting for the horrifying takeoff. Which started right on time and I hated it. As we started speeding down the tarmac I couldn’t help but bury my face into Justin’s soft warm chest, and yelped slightly.
“God you are just too cute!” Justin laughed and kissed the top of my head before he began petting it softly.
“Shut up!” I yelled into his fresh scented shirt, “stop making fun of me!” Justin just laughed as I pulled my face from him and just leaned my ear on his chest where I could hear the slow thump-thumping of his heart. It was a soothing sound. It was a sound like a lullaby, something that can help get you through anything. The sound of his heart was the closest thing I had to a home.
“Wow,” Logan’s voice distracted me from Justin’s heartbeat, “I can see why people think the two of you are closer than friends”.
“What do you mean?” I asked him sitting up in my seat to look up at him.
“It’s just that I can tell that you guys love each other, and some people see that as being in love with each other,” he stated smiling, “But I know that you’re just friends”.
“We are,” Justin enthused turning himself to face Logan as well, “Kacie’s with Kyle, and I’m with Corinne”.
“Dude I’m serious you don’t need to prove it to me,” Logan laughed putting his headphones in and leaned his head back against his seat.
“You didn’t let your BFF get to you did you?” Justin wrapped his arm around me tightly and bit my ear lightly making me laugh and pull away quickly looking him in his big baby blues. That probably wasn’t the best idea because once I did I felt my face heat up and found it almost impossible to look away.
“No you?” I asked a little distantly.
“I don’t think so,” he didn’t seem too sure of himself which made me that much more, I don’t want to say it but, attracted to him.
