Zinhle POV
We are still in the waiting room waiting for them to call us in. I called my in laws and they are on their way right now. his brothers are pacing up and down and I am just waiting to see Khathu. Eventually his parents arrive and we still wait. Then the doctor comes out and gave us an update. He said that this is truly a miracle that he survived. I mean I agree too the way the car looked it was so bad. Then he said that he is healing properly but he will need physical therapy. Then we were permitted to see him. But the nurse and doctor pulled me aside.
They told me and showed me how to take care of him, how treat his wounds and how to change his bandages. After they referred me to a couple physical therapist that are really good and I'll get in contact with them as soon as possible. After they walked away and as they walked away everyone was leaving the room and I looked at them confused because why are they leaving him alone in the room.
"whats happening?" I ask confused. Like go sit with your son and brother.
" he asked to see you and asked for privacy." Hulisani says. "but I will came back with Funi and Lutendo with your toiletries and change of clothes. Huli says then side hugs me then they all leave.
So I walk into the room and I am literally frozen in place as I stare at him. I feel like I can't physically move. He looks at me too. My eyes are filled with tears.
"My love please come here." He calls me to him. And I start sobbing but still don't move. "Baby please don't cry I am okay please come to your husband...please my baby." He says softly. I walk slowly to him covering my mouth while crying. "please your husband a kiss." He says and I bend down and kiss him. I've missed him so much. I just stare at him and keep quiet. "You see a mere car accident couldn't take me out." He says and I roll my eyes because who says things like that.
"How are you feeling?" I ask worried about him.
"Hey now don't look at me like that. I'm okay I promise." He says he tries to move himself on the bed and I look at him confused. I quickly stand up to help him because what is he doing. "Come sleep with me." he says tapping the side of the bed that is quite big for a hospital bed. At first I was hesitant because he is in the hospital but then again I missed laying with him so I laid on his chest.
"do you know how much you scared me when I got that call, I thought I lost you. Imagine my heart when I found out. Baby you are not allowed to scare me like that ever. I love you so much. Seeing you in that state broke me." I say
"I know, I'm sorry my baby. I promise I'll never do this to ever again the next time you and I here it will be when we bring our first born into the world." He says trying to make the mood better. I laugh abit then it goes quiet again. and then he kisses my forehead and says 'I love you'.

(few days later)
It's been couple of days and now Khathu is back home. It's been great. I have been taking care of him and I love it so much catering to him because he has been doing that that for me. people have been coming to the to check up on us and to see how Khathu is doing. Guys Khathu and his dad are fixing their relationship. It was actually Khathus dad who began this fixing thing. I mean it just began but we will see how it will go.
Anyways Khathu is napping in the guest room. Mainly because he can't go upstairs so we are temporarily sleeping downstairs. Anyways like I said this accident thing it so suspicious so me and Hulisani did out investigation because that car just came back from being serviced so there is no way that the week it comes back it has faulty breaks. I asked Hulisani to help me because I am so busy with work and taking care of Khathu.
So this morning he told me that his people found out who did this to my husband. So I am waiting for his call. As I am waiting for the call I remove the meat so I can cook later. But now I am making tea as I am making tea I get the call and I answer.
"hey sister-in-law," he greets
"hey brother-in-law, how are you?" I ask
He sighs before he answers, "well the news I bring to you makes my mood so low." He says. I brace myself before I answer
"something tells me I won't like this news, please tell me." I say bracing myself
"I don't know how to tell you this," he says then pauses and then continues "your stepfather is behind the accident. He got one of his connections to mess with Khathu's brakes." He says and I'm just in shock.
"Please tell me you're lying. How could he?" I say feeling mixed emotions.
"I'm sorry sis, but I need to go but I might pass by to see you guys later on." He speaks
"Okay bye" I say then hang.
All I can do right now is to laugh in disbelief. What do you mean my stepfather would do something so evil. This man really loves money more than his family. I guess this was what he was talking about when he threatened Khathu and I. You know what I am going to call a family meeting with my 'family' and my in laws. Because this kind of news cannot be delivered through the phone.
This is truly the end of my relationship with those people.
