"Mel? Mel! Wake up!!" I hear my James yell. I don't wanna get up! I slowly open my eyes to see where I am.

"Hey James, where are we?" I ask.

"We're at mom's friend's house. Don't you remember?" James gave me a worried look. Then I remembered everything. NO! Why couldn't it all have been a dream?

"I remember now." I scowled.

"So, um, what do you think of it?" What do you think!?

"Hmm...good question. I despise it, hate it, not letting it happen."

"Same here. You're too young! I don't know what mom and dad are thinking!" At least he's on my side.

"Speaking of mom and dad, where are they?" I'm surprised they aren't here to see if I'm okay. Scratch that, I was hoping they'd be here to see if I'm okay.

"In the dining room with Niall and his mom." I growled at the mention of his name.

"Not surprising. Probably planning my wedding without me." That's just how mom rolls. Wants a certain thing her way and won't stop til she gets it. I wonder if Niall new about this?

Then, it seems like James read my mind. "Do you think Niall new about this?" Great minds think a like.

"I've got no idea. What was his reaction like? You'll be able to tell if he knew or not by the way he reacted." Yep, I'm still going all detective. I'll be detective Mel until I stop this wedding.

"He seemed shocked. But, he didn't object, so I think he's cool with the idea." Great! Four to two! But we have a genius and a sneaky, sly, convincing guy on our team!

"I hate his guts even more now!"

"Same here, sis." I finally decided to sit up. Ugh! I eventually have to go back and face all of them again!

And right on que mom called for us. "Mel, James, come down here please!" She didn't even check to see if I'm up yet. Or even ask how I'm doing. What a great mother I have! James and I quickly went to the dining room. There he is, sitting at the table eating, acting like nothing happened.

"Yes, dearest, loving mother of mine?" I asked with a major attitude. My mom gave me an evil glare.

"You need to spend some time with your fiance. Get to know him, so when you get married you two won't be complete strangers." She said, forcingly, not giving me a choice. Maybe if you didn't engage me to a complete stranger, I wouldn't have to get to know him so we wouldn't be strangers!

"How about, hell no! I'm gonna pass. Lets go James!" I yelled. My mom looked shocked. Wasn't expecting that were ya, bitch? I started to walk away when James grabbed my wrist. I gave him a confused look.

"We need him on our side. Go convince him that this is a bad idea!" James whispered to me. I nodded and walked over to Niall.

"Hi ya!" I greet Niall, cheerfully.

"Hi?" He replied, confused. He's probably confused on why I'm being so happy when I was so angry a minute ago.

"What ya doin'?" I ask, still being cheerful.

"Nothing. You?" The look on his face! Priceless!!

"Obviously talking to you, silly." I say as I ruffle his hair.

"I see. How 'bout I show you 'round the house?"

"Why not?" Then we both get up and he starts to show me around the house.

The last stop is his room. "Sit." Niall orders, pointing at his bed.

"Okay." I say, then go and sit on his bed, with my legs criss-crossed.

"We need to talk." He says very seriously.

"We're already talking." I point out the obvious. I should see how easy he gets mad! That sounds like a great idea!

"I know. We need to talk about something else."

"Like what? Everything seems fine to me." I act clueless.

"Seriously? Everything's fine?!" You can tell he's getting angry.

"Yep. Never been better. In fact I'm happier than I've ever been!" I say, very sarcastically.

"What the hell!? One moment you're pissed and won't talk to me, and the next you're happy as can be! What is wrong with you?!" Note, Niall get's angry very easily.

"Nothings wrong with me. I was just seeing how easily you get angry, which is very easy. And it's fun pushing your buttons!"

"Oh. Well, still, we need to talk." He looks a little embarrassed. He'll have to work on controlling his anger.

"Talk away."

"What do you think about all of this?"

"As if it's not obvious. I hate it. Do you even know how old I am?" He nods. "Sixteen! Bloody sixteen!"

"I know. I don't really like it either. But there's not much I can do, is there?"

"Actually there's lots of things you could do. Anyways, did you know about this?"

"If I did I wouldn't be here." Well that's good. Maybe, just maybe we can stop this.

"Good. We need to figure out a way to get out of this. But for now, we need to act like a happy, engaged couple. Got it?" He nods his head. "Good. Now I'm gonna go home, see you later?"

"How about tomorrow? We could go to starbucks." Jeniah works at starbucks! That's perfect!

"Sounds good. Be there around two-ish"

"Okay." And with that I leave.
