Melissa's POV
After finishing twenty questions I was happy with what I learned. I now know where they're from, who their family is, favorite foods, favorite games, basically all the things I should know about them.
*One Week Later*
"What's for dinner?" Louis asks no one in particular.
Liam is the first one to answer saying, "We can go out to eat if you'd like."
"Or I can cook you guys something." I say, butting in.
"You can cook?" Niall asks, sounding shocked.
"Of course I can cook. Don't sound so shocked, Niall." Why is it so shocking that I can cook? Can't most girls cook?
"Well, I thought that you couldn't. You haven't offered to cook for us and your parents didn't mention anything about you cooking, so I assumed that you couldn't cook." He explains.
"I haven't offered because two of you have been taking turns hating me and I really didn't want to be anywhere near the two of you. And my parents don't know I cook. They don't care what I do as long as I keep up my perfect 'smart girl' reputation!" I say, getting louder as I go on. Everyone is shocked by my outburst. (AN: I'll explain her outburst in the AN at the end)
"Sorry." Both Niall and Liam mumble.
"You know what? Apology not accepted." I huff, then I run upstairs to my room.
I sit in my room for a little while before I hear a knock at the door.
"What?" I all but growl.
"It's me, Liam." The person at the door, Liam, says softly.
"What do you want?" I ask, being a little bit nicer.
"Can I come in?" Liam asks politely.
"Sure." I say, rolling my eyes even though he can't see me.
"I jus-"
Liam started to say before I cut him off, gruffly saying, "Look, Liam. I don't want your apology. I don't need it. So if that's all you came here for you can just leave."
Liam shook his head then said, "That's not what I came here for."
"Then what did you come here for?" I ask curiously.
"I want you to tell me why you're here." He says, surprising me.
"W-what?" I stutter, caught off guard.
"Tell me what you told the others that made them feel bad for you."
"Oh, um." I pause and take a deep breath then continue, "My mom met Niall's mom one day during her lunch break and they became best friends. My mom wanted me to meet her friends family so we had dinner at their house. While we were at their house my parents told me that Niall is actually the famous Niall Horan. They also decided to tell me that Niall's parents and my parents arranged for Niall and I to get married. And that's how I ended up here."
"What? Why would your parents allow that?" Liam asks, completely shocked.
I sigh and say, "I told you, my parents don't care. They want me to get married anyways."
"I know you don't want an apology, but I'm sorry." He starts, "I'm sorry your parents don't care. I'm sorry they forced you into this. I'm sorry I didn't even give you a chance. I was just so torn that Niall didn't tell me. I'm an arse for not listening. Could you ever forgive me?"
