beams of light seeps through the sheer curtains making for a certain brunette to lightly squinch before his eyes slowly flutters open, murmurs and what seems to be a baby's cries filling his ears.

"shh, it's alright, little bear"

taehyung slowly blinks, confused and feeling a bit groggy not until he indeed registers a baby's soft cry.

"mummy, will wake up soon"

he hears a familiar voice - jungkook.

the brunette's eyes flutters open, sight adjusting to the unfamiliar white ceiling. it only took a few seconds before a familiar face instead fills his vision.

"my love" a warm hand slowly and gently caressed his cheek making him lean into the touch and lets out a small hum. "how are you feeling?"

it was only at this moment that the brunette had felt his body - he feels something different and after awhile registers discomfort and a bit of pain.

his face must've reacted before he could say anything as jungkook pressed a kiss on his forehead and gently holds his hand. "take it easy, my love. the doctor said not do any abrupt movements"

he lightly nods and tries to sit up, the older quick to assist him. a hand gently on his back and adjusting the pillows and bed before pressing a kiss on his forehead.

"is that alright?" jungkook asked with the younger nodding and mumbling a "thank you" but his cheeks turned warm with how hoarse his voice is. "here, my love. drink some water"

soft cries were heard once again, both taehyung and jungkook turning to look at the bassinet just beside the bed.

"right, our little hansol is also awake" jungkook says with a chuckle and heads over to the bassinet, gentle hands taking a hold of the little baby boy wrapped in a soft, white, cotton blanket with the jeon medical logo proudly embroidered. "you're excited to see, mummy aren't you?"

taehyung let out a small gasp, events of hours ago filling his mind - the contractions, the baby shower, him being rushed to the hospital and how it was decided they have to go through an emergency c-section - he gave birth.

he gave birth to his little baby boy.

he didn't even notice that tears pooled in the corner of his eyes not until the dark haired male had walked over back to him, a gentle hand brushing off his tears away.

"see, little hansol, i told you mummy would be awake soon" jungkook softly uttered.

"hansol" the brunette whispers.

"yes, my love. our baby boy, jeon hansol"

a soft giggle escapes taehyung's lips as the older pressed kisses on his cheek. "do you want to hold him?"

taehyung eagerly nods and this time around, tears were on jungkook's eyes as well as he finally watched the brunette hold hansol close to his chest, the little baby boy seemingly able to recognize his mummy as his cries immediately stopped and snuggles quietly against the other's hold without a fuss.

"my baby, hansol" taehyung murmurs with a smile in between soft sniffles, a gentle finger brushing against the small, plump cheeks of the baby boy. "i love you, my love"

it was as if nothing else existed as the brunette's eyes admired the baby in his arms. his heart wildly thumping in his chest with an overwhelming feeling of joy, warmth and excitement inside of him that he can't quite explain.

"he's here, kookie... our miracle baby" taehyung looks at jungkook through tears, the dark haired male in the same state who smiles and leans to capture the brunette's lips for a sweet kiss.
