That's how you all came to be standing out in the sunlight, realizing that despite the past attempts on your life and even your resolve to stay Underground, you missed this. You missed the sun and the clouds. The breeze cooling you down from a heated morning of arguing with the king. The scent of nature. The look on Papyrus face was refreshing, too. His sockets wide with wonder. "It... Is Everything You Said And More..." He murmured, taking your hand with his. "Yeah..." You replied. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Sans nodded quickly. "gorgeous..." Then there was your son. It was obvious he'd taken some time to take in this view and seemed to be in that 'exploration' phase, dropping rocks off the edge of the cliff. "Astigma, be careful -" His soul turned blue, and Astigma yelped as he was carried away from the edge and in front of his father. "Stay Put." The way Papyrus said it left no room for argument, and Astigma had no choice but to stay in place. Yet, despite his need for punishment, he was praised by the king. Well done, Astigma, very well done..." Finally, the monsters were free from the mountain.

Things were supposed to be kept hush hush until a deal between humans and monsters were made. You went back home, and Papyrus got right onto Astigma's punishment, first scolding him for doing something so reckless before having him get to cleaning the kitchen to his perfect standards. Papyrus stood in the kitchen doorway like the Guard Captain he used to be. You sat on the couch where Anton sat, watching a movie. You couldn't help the bitter expression that crossed your expression. Now that you were free, your ex would learn of Astigma. And if he thought Astigma had something to give, he would try to take her son away. Her son, who only ever knew Papyrus as his father. Who was good and pure despite the trouble he got himself into. Quite the opposite of his real dad, truly. This was something you'd have to talk to Papyrus about, eventually. "What Did That Butthole Do This Time?" Anton crawled over and flopped into your lap. "Anton, be nice to your brother." You rubbed his head. "Your brother ran off again, did something very reckless and scared your father and I to death..." You explained.

You told Papyrus your worries after the boys were put to bed. Papyrus hummed. "He Wouldn't Do That, Right? You Are Aware How Many Monsters Would Fight For Him To Stay With Us?" You sighed and patted his hand. "I'm afraid it isn't so simple as it might have been down here. If he wants Astigma, we would have to go through court and have people come over and see if your home is worthy of a child to live in. If we don't pass the inspection, both our kids could get taken away. Worse, the government is good at getting paid off to give you a hard time..." You grumbled and Papyrus grabbed your hands. "That Will Not Happen. Not If They Value Their Lives..." Papyrus growled and you felt your cheeks heat up a little. "N-no killing, Papyrus... it will make things worse..." Your lover grumbled before leaning his head into you. "Do You Think The King Would Allow For Such A Disaster? Or Even My Brother? I Do Not Have To Take His Life To Give Him Hell, Dear. Astigma Is Ours. No Human Can Have Him But Us." You gave Papyrus a kiss. "You bring up a good point, Papy~" Now it was his turn to blush.
