Moving to the surface was something many monsters took advantage of after all scouting parties returned to the Underground. That naturally meant your little family, too, at the request of living on the opposite side of the city from Astigma's father. Papyrus agreed eagerly, and you both decided to move into a beach house. It was complete with a pool for the boys to learn to swim in before anyone took to the ocean, an office area, and a garage for the car Papyrus and yourself each. It never really occurred to you how rich monsters would be coming to the surface, and money was practically the only language the shitheads up here spoke, so getting this place was practically a walk in the park. Anton was running around the open space with Astigma chasing after him. Everything almost seemed picture perfect, and a large part of you was afraid that there would be a catch. Even the school district seemed pretty damn good for Ebott City. You weren't ready to let your guard down, not until you knew for certain that nobody was gonna try anything on these monsters who were still so new to the Surface life.

Getting everything from the mountain to the beach house was a hassle, but Astigma found help easily in the form of Undyne and the canine unit. Sans, Toriel, and Grillby came and helped too, though the purple flame monster avoided going out back due to all the water. He got extra compensation for his troubles. All of the Skelebros things came to the beach house, seeing as Sans was moving into a small studio apartment deeper in the city. You asked him to be very careful, living surrounded by humans, and Papyrus even offered to convert the office into a fourth bedroom if things went south. If you didn't know any better, you would say that Papyrus missed living with his big brother. You and the boys wisely didn't say anything however, and the 'filthy green couch' went with Sans so Papyrus could get a cleaner one for the entire family to use. As soon as the house was set up to Papyrus immaculate standards, you brought the idea of school up to your mate. The boys had been home schooled, up until now, so starting next year seemed to be the best bet in your books.

Punishment was back in action as Astigma laid in his bedroom, on his bed, in a new house on the flipping beach. Despite still being grounded to all hell, he was satisfied. All his dad's dreams were coming true, in regards to the Surface, Anton was happy up here, mom still seemed suspicious, but was enjoying her time regardless. Astigma loved it too. He never smelled air so fresh or had been more excited to see the sun day after day, even if it was an inconvenience in the mornings. Plus, both he and Anton learned that the weather didn't stick to one location. It could rain or snow whenever, wherever depending on the time of year. Yeah, he didn't regret a damn thing, crossing the Underground and breaking the barrier. His punishment would end eventually, then maybe his parents could praise him for everything he had accomplished. "School?" Dad said clearly despite his door being closed. His mom said something, but she wasn't nearly as loud. "Our Children Have Never Needed School, What Is Wrong With Home Schooling?" His dad and Astigma sat up, listening. "... I Will Think About It, My Dear..." School, huh?
