It was your first walk on the surface in ages. Anton took in everything with wide, excited eyes while Anton tried to feign nonchalance. It wasn't working, though, and you could see that he was just as excited as his brother to see everything. As much as he was still in trouble, Papyrus, Sans, everyone was up in the surface now, drinking it all in and doing their first 'reconnaissance' of the surface, determing whether all Astigma's work had paid off to live in peace... or slaughter them all in war. Personally, you were hoping the assholes that lived here would be a little less asshole-ish, so the boys didn't have to live in a war, but at the same time... what better way to get rid of Astigma's father? You didn't dare mention him to Astigma. As far as you were concerned, he only knew Papyrus as his dad, and that was that. "You boys want ice scream? It's not the same as Underground, but it's good." You suggested. "I Will Try It!" Anton jumped for the chance to have some. "I thought I was grounded?" Astigma pointed out. "That you're right, good answer, kid."

Astigma grumbled as he got his treat. His mom was just being mean, now. He stood outside with his arms crossed while they were inside, getting treats. There was a man on the bench outside, smoking a cigarette while he counted a wad of human currency. Astigma couldn't deny that he looked... familiar in some weird way. The longer he stared, the more he realized that was because the man looked like himself. Sure, he had his mom's hair and eyes, but otherwise, he looked like... his dad. "What are you looking at, kid?" Oh great. His first day out, and he was talking to whom he could only think was his biological dad. Fantastic. "Nothing, nothing. Just waiting for my lil bro to get a snack. You know smoking is bad for you, right?" He pointed out as he turned away. "Better than the shit kids do these days." His father scoffed out. "What do you know about kids?" Astigma asked as he glanced at his presumed father. "Enough to know I don't want a brat as nosy as you." The man stood, dropping his cigarette and stomping it out. "Bet you wouldn't know your own kid if you were talking to him anyway." Astigma muttered as the man disappeared down the sidewalk.

"Astigma, who the hell were you talking to?" Huh, it seemed she'd been watching. "Nobody important. I was just trying to warn a smoker of the consequences of his actions. He didn't listen, of course. Whatever." He shrugged, figuring there was no point in worrying his mom over nothing. "Don't talk to strangers, Astigma. Humans are much more unpredictable than monsters." She took his hand. "Yeah, sorry mom... can we find dad? I kinda want to hang out with him..." You hummed, trying to determine who he'd been talking to, but the person was gone now. "Yeah... yeah, I'll text your dad and see where he is..." You told him and pulled out your phone to contact Papyrus. Anxiety knawed at your insides, fearing that maybe Astigma had run into his biological dad. He didn't live too far from here, but it would've been a crime not to have Olsen's after so long. You even got Astigma a chocolate dipped ice cream bar for when you and Papyrus decided his punishment was over. You offered your hand to Astigma before heading to the location Papyrus had sent you.
