*Ren's POV*

I had just finished checking out at the store and was walking across the parking lot back to my car. Doc was at work and I was heading home to prepare a surprise for him.

Once I got home I started trying to put up the glow-in-the-dark stars in our bedroom but I quickly realized I was too short to reach the ceiling except from standing on the bed, so I could put them up right above the bed but nowhere else.

I called Impulse and asked because he's taller than me.

*on the call*

"Hey Impulse can you come over to help with something?," I said

"What do you need help with?," Impulse said.

"I'm trying to put those glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling but I'm too short," I said.

"Yeah I can help," Impulse said as he laughed.

*Time skip to when Impulse is there and helping out*

"So why are you deciding to put these up? Do you just think it's cool?" Impulse said.

"Nah, this is gonna be a surprise for Doc, I'm gonna write a nice note as well," I said.

"Aw, that's cute. I wish I had someone to write cute notes for, or vice versa," Impulse said.

"You'll find someone eventually, and when you do you won't be too short to stick stars to the ceiling to surprise them," I said.

"Yeah, I guess," Impulse said.

After Impulse and I finished putting up the stars, he left. I put two lamps in the room as well, one looked like the sun and one like the moon. I had baked some cookies earlier and they were cooled down now so I decorated them with star/space themed frosting. I also finally figured out what to write in the note, I wrote "You are my moon, my sun, and all of the stars. So I did this to make sure you always know."

'It's kinda cheesy but it's all I can think of. I hope he likes it'

*Time skip, brought to you by a random potato*

I was hanging out with some friends. It was around the time Doc would be getting home and seeing the surprise, I was going to head home about half an hour later.

After another half hour of hanging out I decided to go home, I wanted to know what Doc thought.

"Guys, I'm gonna head home," I said.

"Okay!" Bdubs said.

I got home, went upstairs, and went into Doc and I's room. The lights were turned of and Doc was looking up at the stars on the ceiling.

"Hey Doc!" I said.

"Hi, Ren. Thank you for all of this," Doc said.

"You're welcom-" I said.

Doc cut me off by walking over and kissing me, he wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. After we pulled apart he sorta stared into my eyes for a bit.

"I love you Ren," Doc said, while smiling.

"I love you too," I said.
