Following the upcoming Champions Trophy, Afghanistan's all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is scheduled to retire from ODI cricket. Naseeb Khan, the chief executive of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, told Cricbuzz about the development on Friday.

In fact, Nabi told the board that he wanted to retire from ODIs following the Champions Trophy, Naseeb told Cricbuzz. We support his decision to retire from ODI cricket after the Champions Trophy, as he informed me a few months ago. "From what I understand, he is expected to continue his T20 career after the Champions Trophy, and that has been the plan up to this point," he continued.

Nabi made his debut against Scotland in 2009, making a half-century, and went on to represent Afghanistan in their first ODI. In 165 ODIs, he amassed 3549 runs at an average of 27.30 and claimed 171 wickets.

In the first match of the current three-match ODI series in Sharjah against Bangladesh, Nabi struck an incredible 82 to assist his team record a competitive total that was defended thanks to a six-wicket haul by Allah Ghazanfar.

In 2019, Nabi called it quits on Test cricket.
