According to the 2025 Indian Premier League, the Gujarat Titans have named Parthiv Patel, a former India wicketkeeper and batsman, as their new assistant and batting coach.
In the official announcement, the Ahmedabad-based team stated, "Parthiv brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team with a distinguished 17-year career as a former Indian wicketkeeper-batter."
Parthiv has played for several IPL teams and has previously served as a scout for the Mumbai Indians and a batting coach for the Mumbai Emirates. He was a member of MI's winning team after being first selected by the Chennai Super Kings and supported as a pure hitter. In 2018, he played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL.
"Parthiv's knowledge of batting tactics and ideas would be extremely helpful to the Titans as they get ready for the forthcoming Indian Premier League season in terms of improving the players' abilities. Parthiv, who is renowned for his keen cricket knowledge and capacity to guide up-and-coming players, will bolster the coaching team and improve player performance."
Parthiv played in 25 Test matches, 38 ODIs, and a few T20Is for India throughout his 17-year career.
