They woke up late that day and had a light breakfast, feeling refreshed and excited for the day ahead. The night prior, Ling informed her that they were going somewhere and that's where Orm found herself staring outside the car window. The vacation was something they thoroughly enjoyed and like the previous nights, they slept late again so holding the coffee in one hand, sipping it from time to time, Orm was enjoying what she was seeing. The Province is not blessed with rich lands but despite the unfertile situation in the Province, where crops often struggled under the scorching sun, Orm found solace in the sight of the umber-colored prairies as they passed by.  It's calming to see that a lot of things thrive despite the harshness of the world around.

"Come here," Ling offered her hands when she got out of the car and Orm gladly reached for it. She had no clue where her girlfriend had taken her but upon reading the signage in the arc, realization dawned on her.

"P'Ling?" She asked as she glance around but Ling just smiled softly at her,  the Attorney's calm demeanor allowed her to feel at ease, sensing the unspoken assurance that she would be there for her no matter what may come as she held her hand tightly. Orm lets her.

It's already an old cemetery with its mossy walls adorned with graffiti from vandals, weathered stone sculptures glistening in the sun's soft rays, and intricately carved headstones marking the resting places of the departed souls. As she approached, the towering mausoleums belonging to affluent families caught her eye, standing as silent testaments to a bygone era of opulence. Yet, amidst the historical splendor, the scent of freshly cut grass mingled with delicate floral notes wafted through the air, a gentle reminder of nature's enduring presence in this place of remembrance. With each step she took, her footsteps barely making an impression on the dry grass underfoot, Ling guided her along the path lined with decaying stone walls that enveloped the cemetery, past time-worn gravestones and weather-beaten monuments that whispered tales of lives once lived. Finally, Ling came to a halt beside a marbled gravestone, the engraved words faded from years of exposure to the elements, yet the name "Kwong" still discernible amidst the sprawling greenery that carpeted the ground.

Orm gasped softly. She had suspicions when she realized they were going to the cemetery but the state of it, left her somehow stunned. Ling smiled at her sheepishly then looked again at the tomb in front of them.
