"Okay why are we here and more importantly why are they here as well?" I asked as we were standing in the middle of the garden and pointed at Riven and Stormi.

"Riven is here so he doesn't accidentally transfer his powers again" Jamie said as he looked at Riven, who just shrugged. "Stormi is gonna teach him"

So if powers transferred through kisses, then it might be already a bit too late for that.

They definitely did some kissing last night. Probably even more than that.

"So I can concentrate on you" Jamie turned back to me. "And only you"

He took a step closer to me, held my hands in his.

"Transferring powers can go both ways, only one of them has to block them off" he explained. "You have to create walls around your powers"

"Okay, how do I do that?"

"Concentrate on your powers, close your eyes and build imaginary walls around them"

"Okay that doesn't sound too hard"

"It isn't" he looked at Riven and Stormi, who were already practicing, with a kiss.

A very intimate kiss.

Jamie looked back at me with a frown on his face. He was definitely wondering why they would share such a romantic kiss.

"I think he got it" Jamie yelled to them, making them break their kiss. "Riven, come here"

Riven walked up to us, pretty hesitant. "We were only practicing" he said as he held his hands up.

"Practice on her then" Jamie nodded at me. He wanted me to kiss Riven?

Riven and I both looked at each other, we definitely didn't want to kiss.

I didn't know him, and he likes Stormi. I also definitely didn't want to mess with her.

"What's the matter? You already shared powers so nothing bad can happen" Jamie shrugged.

"You have powers?" I looked at Riven. "Yes, I can control shadows"

"So, I can do too?"

"Yes, you can" Jamie interrupted. "I only have no idea how Riven does that, so he has to teach you, but that's for another day"

"So I gave my powers to you too?" I asked.

"No, you didn't" Riven said, but he didn't seem to have an answer on why they didn't transfer to him.

"You can only transfer one power at a time, and only your own powers, not the powers that got transferred to you" Jamie explained.

"I gave you my powers, but I didn't get yours" Jamie pointed at me. "And you got Riven's powers but he also didn't get yours"

"And Rio got my powers, because he doesn't have any of his own" I said.

"Exactly"

"No offense.." I said as I looked at Riven. "But I would rather kiss Jamie"

"Oh none taken, I definitely feel the same way" Riven smiled, took a couple of steps back until he was standing next to Stormi again.

"Unfortunately I can not kiss you" Jamie said.

"Why no-"

"He has a deadly kiss, you'll die when he kisses you" Riven immediately explained, causing Stormi to nudge him in his side.

She grabbed his hand and pulled him with her back inside. "What? I was only-" I heard him say before they disappeared.

"So that's why we didn't kiss" I said as I looked at Jamie.

"Yeah, I don't want you to die, you know" he shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets.

He could never kiss someone again?

"Who did that to you?" I asked.

"Your queen" he nodded. "I have been trying to break the curse, but nothing worked"

"When you said you don't have a heart..-" I said, remembering the scar on his chest from last night.

"I meant it literally" he nodded. "She took my heart and cursed me so I could never love again. I can't kiss someone, can't feel love anymore"

That was absolutely horrible.

"But why? Why would she do that?" 

"Because I became a threat" he took a step closer, grabbed my hand and pulled me against his body. "But I only turned into a villain after she cursed me"

"Why?" I asked softly.

"Because she turned me into one" he leaned closer. "I couldn't feel love for decades and most importantly, she took away what I loved most"

His lips brushed against mine. Softly, carefully.

"She took away part of your powers" I mumbled against his lips.

His hand brushed up to my cheek, brushing his thumb against my lower lip as he leaned away a little.

"Also that, but that's not what I meant" he whispered. "She took you away from me"
