I wasn't ready to go back to Velora, not yet. I would go tomorrow, I would claim the throne then.It could wait one more day.
Today was about kissing Jamie and saying sorry to Stormi and Riven.
Riven would not stay long, I kinda expected him to already have returned to his kingdom, but he didn't.
He was laying on the couch of the castle, in front of the fireplace, reading some book.
I tried reading the title before going to meet him. I titled my head in the best direction and narrowed my eyes a little.
The lost kingdoms and their history.
Was he reading about his own kingdom? That wasn't actually lost, just hidden.
Thanks to Jamie's kiss, I got all my memories back, the good and the bad.
But every memory about Riven was good. He was a good guy. I used to think he was too innocent for this world, but he wasn't.
He knew exactly when and how to use his powers, he was in complete control.
Except when it came to Stormi. I already told her the story of what really happened but she didn't really seem to care.
She said he lied about other things, things she couldn't forget.
I had no idea what she was talking about, none of my business either but maybe Riven wasn't as innocent.
I walked up to him with my best smile. "Can I join you?"
He looked up from the book. "Yeah" he mumbled.
I sat down on the other couch, because he didn't move an inch, he kept laying on the couch.
"I didn't expect you to be still here" I tried to break the awkwardness.
"Trust me, I want to go too" he muttered. "But I used way too many powers, I need to rest before going back"
Fair enough, he covered an entire kingdom in a shadow.
"I am sorry Riven, for everything that happened" I said softly. "I am really sorry"
He closed the book, sat up and put the book next to him. "What you did was really fucked up, Aurora"
"I know-"
"But Stormi and I would've never worked out." He said.
"Why not though? You guys were so in love"
He sighed and shrugged. "I honestly don't know, I think she liked the innocent Riven? Not the real me?"
I didn't think that was the reason, I saw the way she looked at him when he killed those guards, or when he put an entire shadow over the kingdom.
"Anyways, tell Jamie he can always yell when he needs me" he tapped his temples as he got up.
Right, that's probably why Riven showed up in the castle in Velora, Jamie asked him to.
"And if you finally wanna learn how to control shadow powers, then come find me" he added.
I chuckled as I got up and hugged him. "And when I want eggs?"
"Then you can come too" he laughed.
It felt weird to say goodbye to him, to watch him leave. Riven always felt like home, he was probably the reason why Atarah felt like home to me.
I looked at the book he was reading after he left, and just as I wanted to read through it, Jamie entered the room.
"What are you reading?" He asked as he walked to me.
I quickly put the book next to me. "Nothing really"
He sat down next to me, pulled me on his lap and pecked my lips a few times.
He kissed me every time he saw me, just to make up for lost times.
"Riven left" I said. "I know" he nodded.
Right, I always forgot they could talk through their minds.
"We can always visit him" Jamie said, brushing his fingers against my cheek. "We will still see him"
I nodded slowly.
He laid down on the couch and pulled me next to him. He pressed his lips against my neck while his hands were on my ass.
"I think we should go to our room" he mumbled against my neck.
He didn't wait for my answer though, he immediately picked me up from the couch and carried me to our room.
I giggled, put my arms around his neck and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach.
With my memories back, I could answer my own question I asked before we went to Velora.
Yes we definitely had sex before. Many times.
But I wouldn't mind to have my memory refreshed. Definitely not.
