The next few days were a whirlwind of emotional turmoil for Scarlett. The weight of her decisions and the intensity of the recent events weighed heavily on her. Each morning began with a sense of dread as she grappled with the consequences of sending Tasma and Electra back to Light-Rock.

The emptiness left by their departure felt palpable, a void that seemed to echo in the quiet moments of her day. Her usual activities, like exploring Magix or spending time in the park, offered little solace. The once comforting routine now seemed hollow, and she struggled to find joy in the simple pleasures she had once cherished.

Her nights were restless, plagued by dreams of darkness and conflict. In her sleep, she could almost hear Tasma and Electra's voices, filled with anger and betrayal. These dreams often left her waking in a cold sweat, her heart racing as if she were still trapped in the turmoil of those moments.

Scarlett threw herself into her studies at Cloud Tower, trying to distract herself with the demands of her coursework. Yet, even here, she found it difficult to focus. The weight of her actions was a constant companion, shadowing her efforts and making every task seem more burdensome than it had before.

Scarlett's interactions with others became increasingly strained as the days went by. Many people in Cloud Tower, and even some outside of it, struggled to reconcile her past actions with her current efforts to change. The whispers and wary glances were a constant reminder of the tumultuous year she had left behind.

Students and faculty alike found it hard to forget that, just a year ago, Scarlett had been a key figure in the attempt to plunge Magix into chaos. Her previous actions left a lingering shadow over her attempts to move forward. Despite her sincere efforts to demonstrate that she had changed, the scepticism was palpable.

In the hallways of Cloud Tower, conversations often hushed as she passed by, replaced by sidelong looks and murmured judgments. Some students avoided her altogether, uncomfortable with the idea of accepting someone with such a dark history into their midst. Even those who tried to be friendly often did so with an air of cautious curiosity, unsure of how to approach her.

Professors, too, seemed wary. While they acknowledged her efforts to make amends, they were cautious in their interactions. Some offered guarded encouragement, but others seemed to hold back, unsure of how to fully engage with someone who had once been a source of significant threat.

Scarlett tried her best to maintain a positive demeanour, focusing on her studies and her commitment to her new path. She threw herself into her work, hoping that her actions would eventually speak louder than her past mistakes. Yet the strain of dealing with mistrust and scepticism weighed heavily on her, making each day a challenge.

The isolation she felt was compounded by the constant reminders of her past. She often found herself alone in the library or wandering the grounds of Cloud Tower, seeking solace in quiet corners away from the prying eyes and judgemental whispers.

Scarlett sighed deeply as she wandered alone through Magix on a particularly gloomy day. The streets, once vibrant and welcoming, now felt colder and more isolating. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, and she longed for the presence of Electra and Tasma, even if their methods had been questionable.

As she meandered past a restaurant, something caught her eye. Through the large windows, she saw a familiar face—Danielle. Instantly, her mood darkened. Her gaze followed Danielle, who was seated at a table with Alistair. The couple appeared to be celebrating a special occasion.

"Happy one-month anniversary," Alistair said, presenting Danielle with a small black velvet box. As he opened it to reveal a delicate necklace, Danielle's face lit up with joy.

"Oh, Alistair, it's beautiful!" She exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

A waiter approached their table, presenting a small cake with a flourish. Confetti sprayed over them, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. Scarlett watched through the window, her heart heavy with a mix of envy and frustration.

"Why does she get to be so happy while I'm struggling to get by each day?" Scarlett muttered to herself, bitterness lacing her words.

The sight of their joy only served to deepen her sense of isolation and resentment. It felt like a harsh reminder of how far she still had to go to rebuild her life and earn the acceptance she so desperately sought. Their celebration, each smile, seemed to mock her own struggle.

Scarlett's frustration erupted into anger. "My life is a mess, and it's all because of her and her pesky friends," she spat, her voice trembling with raw emotion. She ripped the glittery pink hairband from her hair and threw it to the ground. "What was I even thinking? I don't even like pink."

Scarlett glared back at the restaurant, her eyes blazing with a blend of despair and grim determination. "I swear, I'll make your lives miserable. I'll crush every ounce of joy you have." Her voice trembled under the weight of her anger. With one last, fierce look, she turned and stormed away from the scene.

Later at Cloud Tower, Scarlett snuck into the archives once more, her desperation evident. She rifled through the shelves, searching for anything that might help. "Not what I need," she muttered in frustration, hurling a book across the room.

A faint glow caught Scarlett's eye, drawing her attention to a book resting on one of the shelves. As she approached, she recognised it as the same book that had shown them Eye of the Ancestresses last year.

"So, this book is still here," Scarlett murmured, reaching for it. "I hope you can offer some better guidance this time, after our plan to take over Magix failed so miserably."

The book seemed to pulse, almost as if it were responding to her words. "Let's get you out of here," Scarlett said with renewed determination, taking the book in hand and vanishing from the archive.
