My honor

After having their night of fun both parents were making their way down the hall towards Charlie and Vaggies room before gently knocking on the door. Opening the door they saw Vaggie there holding Conrad and Charlie giggling as she playing with Austin and Rosie down on the floor.
"They wasn't any trouble was they?" Lucifer asked as they walked into the room now.
"Not at all dad, we stayed up playing games with them until they was just wore out and they've been asleep ever since this morning about an hour ago" Charlie said with a smile now as lucifer got down onto the floor with her and the kids while Alastor grabbed Conrad from Vaggie who smiled at the sight.
"Doing better today Al?"
"Much..lucifer came and talked to me about it all...told me all the mistakes he had made when rasing Charlie, and I'd like to also thank you for stopping in to check on me, thank you Vaggie" he said earning a nod from her before he thought some.
"Why don't you and me go spend a day together..make it a bonding day as Charlie calls them" he asked as he saw Vaggies face become one of surprised.
"I..uhm sure Al..that could be fun" she said as she thought about it.
"Let me get the little ones taken care of and then we can head off, think of what you'd like to do today alright?" He said before him and lucifer left the room with the kids now.
About an hour later Alastor had told lucifer of his plan and helped him feed the kids and get them all set for the day before heading downstairs where he found Vaggie at bar counter talking with Angel some. Walking over to her he smiled.
"Have you decided what you'd like to do today?"
"Well...not really, I was almost thinking just tag along and see what you normally do on your days out"
"Mmm..I suppose we could do that, I do have some special places that I like to go and enjoy myself at" he said after thinking for a moment and smiling.
"Shall we then" he asked while motioning towards the door with a slight bow. Vaggie nodded and smiled as they both walked outside of the hotel now. Walking down the sidewalk they headed towards cannibal town first, but they walked past Rosie's shop and went to the radio store further in town. Alastor smiled as he opened the door for Vaggie as she looked around at all of the old vintage radios and music equipment.
"What got you into loving radios so much Al?"
"Long ago back in the world, me and my mother would always listen to the radio, dance around the room, they are very fond memories to me...And when she passed, I became a mass murderer...and I played her songs on my broadcast, like a part of her was always still with me" he said as he reached up and ran his hand across the wood grain of a old record player.
"I never knew that Al"
"Most people don't, up until just now only Rosie knew of that" He said before looking over at her.
"And what of your parents?" He asked with a hum.
"I...dont really remember my parents. My life before heaven is all fuzzy and stuff, last thing I can remember clearly...I was just a little girl. And I rolled my bike over and I had scrapped my knee up pretty bad. I remember my father's hands as he examined it, before grabbing some stuff to treat it..and that's all I have before I walked through the gates." She said as she was aimlessly playing with a record player.
"Im sure he was a good man my dear" Al said with a smile. They looked around some before Alastor chimed back in.
"I'd like to take you somewhere very special to me" he said as turned and left the store. Vaggie just nodded as she moved to follow him. She followed him down the sidewalk, they walked for a bit and she watched as they left cannibal and walked past the hotel on their way out of town, heading towards the tree line of the forest off in the distance. Walking off into the woods and following the path they soon arrived at the pond.
"So...why is this place special to you?" Vaggie asked as she looked around, not really seeing anything that stood out.
"Close your eyes and just listen" he said as he did it himself. Vaggie was a little confused but did as he asked, and as she listened, she heard the little critters scurrying around in the woods. Some birds up in the trees but the biggest thing, there was no fighting or violence.
"This place is nothing but peaceful, where I always head to when I want to relax or enjoy a quiet day..or when I need to think about stuff, this is also where I proposed to lucifer at" he said with a light chuckle.
"Im glad you trusted me enough to show me this Alastor." Vaggie said with a smile.
"And don't think I haven't noticed the turmoil your going through" Alastor said as he watched Vaggies face falter some before putting on a smile.
"What are you talking about"
"Your hesitation this morning. And I can see your face scrunch up at times while your thinking. I've gotten good at reading people" he said as she sighed some.
"I should've know that you'd catch on"
"The real question is. What's bothering you so much?" He asked while tilting his head some as they moved and sat down on the grass.
"I just...I told you how I dont remember my father any. I grew up not having a father figure in heaven, and then...the day of my wedding you was there, you calmed me down and re-assurred me while I was nervous. You acted like my father and you didn't even half to and, it was a new feeling to me that I had missed all my life and it was nice..I wanted more but was..afraid how you'd react to it, so I just..never asked"
She said as she was looking down now. Mindlessly playing with the grass in her hands.
"So...you want to ask but your afraid that I would've said no?" He asked her before watching her nod after a moment. Alastor reached over and grabbed her hand and watched as she looked up at him.
"It would be my greatest honor to become your father figure" He said with a warm smile before he watched the smile grew on her face before she let out a little gasp like happy sob and leaning in and hugging him. Alastor was quick to return the hug and smiled, she was already his daugther in law due to marrying Charlie. Its just the role of a father wasnt official until now
"Thanks...dad" he heard Vaggie say and it made his smile that much more at this.
"Of course"
