Wedding bells

Charlie and Vaggie walked up the stairs and back into the hotel after the taxi had dropped them off, opening the doors and walking in they seen Angel and Husker at the bar talking together and from the aroma in the air. Alastor was making jambalaya again for lunch. She caught a glimpse of a white blur shooting across the lobby before being enveloped into a hug.
"Appleseed! No one hurt you, did they, I swear if someone did, I'll find them "
"No dad, no one hurt me" she said with a light laugh as she returned the hug, he was still a bit over protective of her....well more then normal, and she had to admit it was a nice feeling at times.
"Oh! I need everyone to meet in the lobby, can you get them for me?" He nodded at this as he left to round up everyone while Charlie and Vaggie moved towards the middle of the lobby in front of the couch, after a moment everyone had arrived and was sitting on the couch looking at them.
"So..have an announcement to make," she said before taking a moment and grabbing Vaggies hand and raising her other hand.
"We got engaged!" She said excitedly as the others clapped and cheered for her. Lucifer moved over to look at the ring and smiled.
"It matches your eyes, Char Char," he said before hugging both of them with a huge smile planted on his face as he eventually let go of them. The rest of the gang moved around and gave their congratulations and hugs before the day carried on. Lots of new plans to be made and things to do, had to get more flowers and stuff. Dresses and invitations, food and decorations. Charlie thought as her and Vaggie walked up to their room to drop their stuff off before heading down for lunch.
"Vaggie...what if we just did like our dad's and just..small and simple, it saves us the hassle of trying to get everything perfect, the wedding is just a event...the part that matters is my lovely bride" she said as she smiled at Vaggie who returned the smile and nodded.
"I like that..no need to go crazy over wedding planning, as long as we have each other. That's all I want" The two of them smiled before leaning in and sharing a loving kiss before unpacking the rest of their stuff.

2 Weeks later

Charlie was in her room with lucifer who was currently behind her trying to do her hair...and failing rather miserable at it.
"Dad..as much as I appreciate it, if you keep going I don't think I'll be able to fix it" she said with a giggle before lucifer sighed and nodded
"Your right sweetie...ol dad's not very good with hair" he said as he looked at the hopeless mess in front of him. Charlie simply smilednas she grabbed her comb and started to take everything out and start from the beginning again.
"So did you have any idea she was going to be proposing over the trip?" Lucifer asked with a bit of a smile as he went and and sat on the bed while watching her from behind and seeing her in the mirror.
"No..and she picked such a great time to do it to!" She said happily. Lucifer watched as the smile grew larger and larger the more Charlie talked about her trip and how vaggie proposed to her and it only made him smile as he watched her and listened before laughing some now.
"That's actually really close to how Alastor did it with me...he played his cards perfectly" he said with a smile.

Meanwhile in Alastors room.
Vaggie sat on a chair looking at the mirror as Alastor combed through her hair with practiced ease.
"Is there anything you don't know how to do?" Vaggie asked surprised. He hasn't even yanked her hair, moving the comb in ways it just glided through her hair.
"Well my dear I do have to take care of my hair. Yours is the same just there's a lot more of it" he said and Vaggie watched as he flapped his ears some from the mirror and she smiled.
"I never thought of that" Alastor continued to do her hair and finish it off by putting the flower crown in the back of her hair near the bun.
"And there....you look stunning my dear" Alastor said with a smile as he rested his hands on her shoulder and as he leaned to the side and looked at the mirror with him before he seen a nervous look flash across her face.
"Whats wrong?" He asked her gently.
"I...what if i mess things up?"
"Its only us my dear. There's nothing to mess up, Just watch her walk down. Share vows and kiss"
"No..i.mean...yes, I'm...what I'm trying to say is after the wedding" she said fumbling her words around.
"Ahhh...I see" Alastor said as he thought for a moment.
"A relationship is like a foundation Vaggie, cracks are going to form and it's normal. The thing is though, you must work together to repair the cracks, if the cracks are left unrepaired the foundation will crumble and fall" he said as he moved to the front of Vaggie now.
"You should know, you've been dating Charlie for a while now and know how she is, I doubt she'd let anything get to be that big of a problem" he said with a smile as Vaggie leaned in and hugged him.
"Thank you Alastor...your like the dad I never got to have" She said before feeling his arms wrap around her.
"Im honored you see me that way" he said softly as they held the hug for a bit before letting go.
"Now...let's see that smile" he said as he made the motion with his fingers, watching Vaggies smile return.
"There's my girl" he said acting more like a father figure at the moment since it seemed to help calm her.
"Now, let's go show the world your stunning looks shall we?" He said as he stood with a slight bow and his hand held out for her. Vaggie smiled as she took his hand before they left the room.
A little later Vaggie stood at the alter.
And as mentioned it really was just a small thing in the lobby of the hotel using a couple of folding chairs, just the hotel lobby attending it. Alastor stood beside Vaggie at the alter. Being a king of hell as well and since lucifer was walking Charlie down, it just fell into place and worked out well. There was the sound of a door opening and Charlie and Lucifer appeared.

Vaggie gasped softly as she looked at Charlie. Walking down the isle with lucifer beside her. Getting up the the alter she smiled as she looked at Charlie.
"You...look amazing babe" she said before Alastor cleared his throat some.
"Short version since...everyone here knows what we are here for and the two of you. So going straight to the vows, Vaggie..would you like to go first?" She nodded at this as she reached up and grasped Charlie's hands.
"You found me in that Alley way..wounded and without even thinking you wrapped me up in bandages and brought me to this hotel. You didn't care who I was..what I did. You only wanted to help me get better. I know from that moment you had a big heart and you'd treat me right. And I promise with this ring to return the kindness and compassion that you have showed me" she said with a smile as Charlie giggled some in excitement as Alastor now looked at her with a head nod.
"I took a chance when I found you that night, others would have just walked by seeing a hurt person but..I seen more, I saw a cute lady who was having a rough go on life, I brought you back with me and I fell hard for you Vaggie..I know we will spend a long and happy life together and I will cherish every moment I spend next to you"
They both smiled as Alastor finished it up and they slid the rings on and enjoyed their kiss making it official. The new couple enjoyed a few dances together while the others picked up the chairs before watching and smiling.

Few weeks later

Life in the hotel was going great minus the fact that lucifer seemed to have a bug of some kind, he was having trouble keeping his food down and Alastor was starting to worry some. He had been staying up late at nights keeping his eye on lucifer and trying to make him comfortable. But as he laid in the bed his ears twitched Some as he heard a soft sob coming from the room, with his brain kicking into gear he was sitting up and alerted as his eyes scanned the room not seeing anyone. But the bathroom door cracked open with the light on. Getting up he quickly made his way over to find lucifer on the floor holding something and crying softly.
"Lucifer? " he asked as he moved in and got on his knees infront of him but was surprised to see a smile instead.
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing is...just..this" he said holding up a test and Alastors tail was starting to wag around as he read It.
"Positive"
"Y. Your...your pregna..nant" he asked while lucifer nodding before being pulled into a hug. Things were looking up for the growing morningstar family.
