I sat leaning against my window as I watched the sunrise. Looking across the street I could see that Oliver was still asleep as his room light was still off. He always slept in on Sundays.
I glanced over to the neighbor's house and saw that one of the second floor room's light on through the curtains. I wonder whose room that is. A blush formed over my cheeks as I pictured a naked Luke or Chris getting dressed for the day and threw myself onto the floor.
I shook my head aggressively and ran to the bathroom. I splashed water on my face multiple times to get the image out of my head.
"Nasty,"I said to myself in the mirror,"you are a nasty woman."
"You are?"a voice asked chuckling from the hallway.
I froze recognizing the voice as the blush I just got rid of returned to my face. I slowly cracked open the door to reveal Oliver standing in the hallway with no shirt on just shorts. My soul left my body as I worked to only look at his face.
"Um,"I stuttered out,"what are you doing in my house..?"
"I slept here dork,"he chuckled as he flicked me on the nose.
"Oh sorry I mean,"he said then leaning down to whisper in my ear,"nasty woman."
A shiver shot up my spine at his deep morning voice in my ear before shooting up out of bed, waking from my dream. God I hate myself. I smacked myself in the face to recover from the realistic dream I just had.
Was not real. Was not real. I ran over to the window to check across the street to see Oliver's light off and then to the neighbor's house to see all their lights off still as well. I sighed out a breath of relief. Yup, just a dream. I checked my phone for the time. It was 7 a.m. on the dot.
I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and brushed out the tangles in my hair. I headed downstairs to the kitchen to find my mom already awake and the smell of pancakes wafting to me. I walked into the kitchen and saw a fresh pot of coffee calling my name.
"Don't mind if I do,"I cooed to the coffee as I grabbed a mug.
"Good morning sweetie,"my mom smiled to me as she flipped a pancake.
"Good morning,"I replied as I finished pouring my coffee.
I opened the fridge to grab the creamer as I heard my dad's slippers click on the tile. I turned around to him reaching my mom and giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"How did I end up with such an early bird family?"he asked with bags under his eyes.
"It helps when we don't break out the whiskey after a whole bottle of wine,"my mom chuckled.
He slapped her ass as he passed by her,"It was only two glasses, thank you."
My mom hummed out an amused agreement as she continued to pour another pancake onto the pan. My dad poured himself a cup of coffee before ushering me to hand him the creamer. Once I was done pouring the creamer into my coffee I passed it off to him and went to sit at the table.
It was awkward sitting at such a big table in the mornings as we were such a small family on our own. I don't have any grandparents or cousins so it's just us. That's why my mom loves having dinner parties, she'd always wanted a big family just never got it.
"What are the plans for today?"my dad asked as he sipped on his coffee.
"Feed you and then clean up the house,"my mom said.
"And you?"my dad asked looking to me as he leaned against the island counter.
"No plans."
They both looked at me before sharing a look causing my mom to grin. I could feel a plan brewing.
