Summer Air

Chapter 12

"Let's play suck and blow," a girl I couldn't remember her name called out holding a deck of playing cards and a bottle of tequila.

I was now on my third mix drink definetly feeling the alcohol and inebriated. We were still outside, Oliver and his buddies having joined us after my game of beer pong was over. We had been sat around on the couches just chatting until this girl had gotten up and now had come back with the cards and alcohol. Everyone pretty intoxicated that we all agreed now deciding to sit on the ground around the table in the middle.

"Cups,"the girl called as she stood holding the bottle up.

We all brought our cups up as she walked around freeflowing a healthy amount of liquor into each of our cups. There was almost an even amount of guys and girls in the circle with 13 of us in total. I ended up sat between Oliver and Parker. Thankfully Ruby was participating sitting in between Ian and Samantha who had showed up within the last 15 minutes. The girl that suggested the game finally sat between Xander and Adam after finishing pouring everyone alcohol.

"Ok, hopefully everyone knows how this game works,"she said opening the deck to grab a card out,"but for the ones who forgot. If you drop the card to either have to kiss or take a swig of your drink."

I was definetly going to be swigging, nervous about kissing anyone in a setting like this. She pulled out a card and brought it to her lips before turning to Adam going clockwise. It went seamless as each person was able to keep it together and not drop the card. Passing the card from Adam to Hannah to Chase to Justin until Nina failed to get the card. They looked at eachother nervously before giving eachother a peck kiss on the lips. Earning ooo's and aah's from the group before continuing on. Next was Oliver who seamlessly recieved the card from Nina turning to me. I did not think this through. I may be drunk but I'm still self aware.

He brought his face to mine and I leaned forward. The smell of his cologne filling my senses making be distracted. I pressed my lips to the card and sucked to get it to stick to my lips before turning from him to Parker. As I went to press the card to Parker's lips with him moving his lips to the card as well. Next thing I know the feel of a card on my lips disappeared and the feel of soft lips hit mine. I pulled away with shock in my eyes.

"Oops, dropped it," Parker said with a playful smirk on his lips as he stared at mine.

I felt my face blush and I grabbed my drink taking a swig trying to distract myself from the fact that I just kissed him. I bit my lip as I finally had the courage to look up from the ground to see the had moved on with the game and glanced over to Oliver. He had something stirring in his eyes. When the card had come back around to him he shook his head to Nina and went to stand up.

"I'll be right back," he said as he was fully stood up.

I went to scoot closer to Nina, closing the circle for the game to continue but he pulled on my arm, "can we talk?"

I nodded absentmindedly not sure what he was needing but was needing a breather anyways. I stood up following him inside and upstairs. There were a few people scattered along the stairs until we made it to the hallway were there seemed to not be as many people. I thought we would stop there but he had me follow him to one of the guest bedrooms, him shutting the door after I entered.

I stood in the middle of the room nervous because he hadn't said anything since asking me to come with him, "what's up?"

"Do you like Parker or something?" He asked abruptly.

I gave him a confused look, "what? No."

"You've been all over him all night," he said raising his voice slightly.
