After having kissed Chris twice now I was sensing a pattern. If we were alone. He was going to kiss me. After pulling away from his lips, in the most awkward fashion I told him goodbye before he got back on his motorcycle to go home.
He did in fact get suspended but thankfully just for the next two days. So he would be back Wednesday. I honestly wasn't that upset that he got suspended because he needed time to cool off and so did I. When I walked back to the cafeteria to find Ruby again she was sitting at the table grinning mischievously.
"What?"I asked with confusion written all over my face.
"Found him didn't you?"she asked,"took you a while to come back."
"Yes I did,"I said and began to blush thinking about the fact that I just had my second kiss with him.
"So?"she said nudging me for more details.
"So nothing. I found him. I lectured him,"I kissed him,"then he went home. That's it."
She just glared at me,"Liar. I know when you are hiding something from me."
I sat down next to her and sighed muttering,"we kissed."
"Again?"she yelped.
"Stop yelling,"I hushed her.
I looked up frantically to make sure no one was staring.
"God you are a nervous wreck when you are being scandalous,"she giggled leaning towards me.
"Oh quiet!"I said smacking her shoulder.
"Ow!"she sqeaked out as she rubbed her shoulder.
"Where'd Oliver go?"I asked as I looked around, he wasn't with Ian and the football players at their table either.
"Oh he was being a sourpuss and went to flow off some steam,"she said as she picked at the leftover food on her tray.
"Oh ok,"I said chewing on my bottom lip,"did you notice that he seemed mad at me?"
"No, but then again I have no clue who he was actually pissed at,"she said shrugging.
"True. Anyways how has the rest of your first day of junior year been?"I asked deciding it was best to just change the subject.
"Oh it was fantastic!"she beamed,"so many of the guys got hot over the summer!"
I laughed just thinking of how much she must've been drooling through each class,"you really have a one track mind."
"Only sometimes,"she replied bubbly.
I listened absentmindedly as she went on to rant about how a couple of the guys in our year had grown a couple inches over the summer, making innuendos along the way while also talking about others that had gained muscled arms.
Next thing we knew the lunch bell was ringing for us to head back to class,"oh shit. Gotta get to Chemistry."
"Have fun,"Ruby replied as we went our separate ways.
Fortunately the rest of the school day went by smoothly with no other debacles of running into boys or drama. After my last class had ended I headed straight to my truck not wanting to waste another second in the school.
I found Ruby sat on the side of the bed of my truck texting away on her phone barely glancing as I walked up,"hey."
"How'd you get here so quick?"I asked.
"Last class was history with Mr. Austin,"she said hopping down as I unlocked my car.
"Lucky,"I said as we got in and I threw my bag in the backseat.
