-Start of Chapter 52-

Y/N's POV

"Yoo back hom-" I say closing the door behind me as I turn around to the five boys in the lviing room. They all look serious—too serious. "Um... So... what's going on?"

I look at Soobin who gives me  a knowing look, "I told them..."

"Oh."

"So... we figured its most likely a sasaeng" Soobine walks toward me, and his words send a jolt through me.

"What?!" My voice comes out sharper than I intended. "Has HYBE done anything yet?"

Yeonjun lets out a sigh, crossing his arms. "We haven't told them yet."

My eyes widen. "So... when are you going to tell them?"

Soobin glances down, hesitating before he says, "We... aren't going to tell them."

"What?!" I feel myself growing incredulous. "Why not?! A creepy, obsessive person knows the pin to your dorm! They've broken in twice—maybe more! They're leaving cakes and notes, and probably watching you while you sleep, and you're not going to tell the company?!"

Soobin sighs, running a hand through his hair. "We talked about it... and we figured that if we tell them, there's a good chance HYBE would make you leave the dorm. And then fans would find out and with everything that's been going on, with the scandal... we don't want that."

I glance between them, disbelief mingling with frustration. "So... you'd rather risk letting this stalker roam free, sneaking into your dorm, than just let the company deal with it?"

"It's not that simple, Y/N" Taehyun cuts in, his voice calm but firm. "The minute we involve HYBE, it becomes a huge mess. You get dragged into it too, and not in a way that ends well for anyone. They'll start putting restrictions on us, on you... and that's if they even believe us and take this seriously."

I feel a shiver creep down my spine, and the boys' silence only deepens the weight of it. "So, what's the plan then?" I ask, almost in disbelief. "Just... hope this person doesn't show up again?"

Yeonjun shakes his head, stepping closer. No. We're gonna have to try to find out who it is without gaining to much atttention."

"But how?" I whisper, still half-stunned. "What if they come back, and—"

"We're doing this to protect you too, Y/N" Soobin says, voice softer as he meets my gaze. "If we tell the company, this becomes a whole thing, and they'll find a way to make it worse for you."

"Just promise you'll be careful too" Yeonjun says, giving me a reassuring nod. "If you see anyone strange, or if you recognize anything familiar in those notes, let us know right away. We're all going to be on alert."

I let out a shaky breath, still wrapping my head around it all. Part of me wants to argue, to insist they tell the company and let professionals handle it, but seeing the determination in their faces... I know I won't change their minds easily.

"Alright" I mutter, swallowing hard. "But you guys better not take any risks either."

Beomgyu cracks a small, mischievous grin. "So... no more cakes and love notes, got it."
