Pansy and Blaise had barely settled into the compartment when Draco's head drooped against Blaise's shoulder, his usual snark and composure slipping away as he shifted into headspace. With a soft sigh, Draco closed his eyes, curling up close to Blaise, who exchanged a knowing glance with Pansy.
Pansy smiled, her hand reaching out to smooth Draco's hair, brushing it back gently. "Looks like our little one's already needing some extra comfort," she said with a soft chuckle, glancing at Blaise, who nodded, slipping an arm around Draco protectively.
The hum of the train soothed them all, and while other compartments filled with chatter and laughter, this one was their quiet little sanctuary. Blaise, always calm and collected, let Draco rest against him, occasionally shifting to make sure he was comfortable. Draco's fingers fiddled with the hem of Blaise's sleeve, a small habit he had whenever he was deep in headspace and looking for something to ground him.
Pansy reached into her bag and pulled out a soft blanket she'd brought just for this journey, draping it over Draco's lap. "There you go, darling," she murmured, tucking it around him snugly. She settled beside Draco, gently stroking his back in rhythmic circles.
When the trolley rolled by, Pansy quickly slipped out, returning with a few treats. She handed Blaise a pumpkin pasty to share with Draco, then opened up a small box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and began to sort out the safe ones, handing the best ones to Draco.
Draco looked up sleepily, a shy smile tugging at the corner of his lips as Blaise broke off a piece of pasty, holding it up for him. "Here you go, Dray," Blaise said softly, and Draco leaned forward to take a tiny bite, his cheeks tinged pink as he savored the familiar taste. His fingers wrapped around Pansy's hand, squeezing gently, feeling her warmth and reassurance.
As the journey went on, Draco's head drooped onto Blaise's shoulder, his thumb tucked into his palm as he grew even sleepier. Pansy exchanged a smile with Blaise, who simply nodded, letting Draco rest. Blaise kept his arm protectively around Draco, whispering gentle reassurances whenever he stirred, while Pansy hummed softly, stroking his back and playing with his hair, the gentle touches enough to lull Draco into a contented doze.
By the time they reached Hogwarts, Draco was fully relaxed, his little heart safe and secure between his two best friends, who ensured every moment of the journey was filled with warmth, love, and the quiet comfort he needed.
