The next morning, sunlight peeked through the thin curtains, casting a warm glow across the guestroom. You stirred, the soft light nudging you awake, but the weight of exhaustion held you still for a moment longer. Every muscle ached, a lingering reminder of the tension and events from the night before.

As you blinked your eyes open, you found yourself wrapped in the blankets of the unfamiliar bed, the guestroom quiet and still.

Sighing, you stretched slightly, taking a deep breath as you felt the hazy remnants of sleep slip away. The soft sounds of morning filtered in from outside, grounding you in the peacefulness of the new day. Even though your body felt heavy, a quiet sense of relief filled you; it was over, at least for now.

Pushing yourself up, you noticed that someone had placed a glass of water at the bedside. A small smile tugged at your lips, warmth blooming in your chest as you thought about Jimin's quiet thoughtfulness.

As you rubbed your temples, trying to push away the last traces of drowsiness, a familiar voice echoed softly in your mind.

"How are you feeling about yesterday?" Guk's voice was gentle yet probing, as though he'd been waiting for the right moment to speak up.

You took a deep breath, knowing there was no point in hiding anything from him. "I don't know, Guk. Part of me still feels on edge. It was terrifying having someone attack us here. That house is... was supposed to be a safe place, you know?"

There was a pause, and you could feel Guk's presence more keenly, a quiet strength beneath his words. "Fear is natural," he murmured. "But you handled it well. Your resolve is stronger than you realize."

You gave a slight nod, feeling a bit reassured. "Maybe. But I'm not sure if I can just... shake it off so easily."

Sensing your unease, Guk's tone lightened, a hint of mischief in his voice. "Enough heavy talk. So... what's on the agenda for today, hmm?"

You smiled faintly, grateful for his attempt to lift the mood. "I don't know yet," you replied, swinging your legs over the side of the bed. "I was thinking I'd ask Jimin first, see what he has planned."

Guk hummed thoughtfully. "Not a bad idea. The two of you deserve a calmer day after everything. Maybe something to clear your minds a bit."

You nodded, feeling a bit more grounded. "Yeah, a normal day would be nice, but with my job here, no chance."

You rose from the bed, glancing at the mirror as you ran a hand through your hair, hoping to look a bit more refreshed than you felt. You made your way down the hallway, the morning sunlight casting a gentle warmth across the floor as you approached Jimin's room. Pausing at the doorway, you took a steadying breath before knocking softly.

After a moment, you heard a muffled, "Come in," and pushed the door open. Jimin was sitting at the edge of his bed, already dressed, though he looked just as tired as you felt. He gave you a small smile, and the sight of it melted some of the lingering tension from last night.

"Good morning," you said, a bit hesitantly. "I was just wondering... if you have anything planned for today?"

Jimin leaned back slightly, crossing his arms as he seemed to consider it. "Honestly? I think we both need a break." His eyes softened as he looked at you. "How about we go somewhere peaceful? Clear our heads?"

You felt a wave of relief at the suggestion. "That sounds perfect."

The two of you headed downstairs together, moving in comfortable silence. The warm aroma of breakfast drifted up from the kitchen, making you realize just how hungry you were. As you reached the last step, you spotted Jimin's mother at the dining table, setting out plates and looking up just in time to see the two of you enter.
