See what I did there?
⎯
You and Chansook hugged each other as she pretended to cry, making you snort, patting her back softly.
You were both standing on the platform, waiting for the next train, which would take you, Jimin, Miss Lee, and Aurora to Busan. Your grey luggage was beside you, packed with clothes, toiletries, money, and other important items.
Yes, you were going to stay with Jimin's family while in Busan. Even though you had insisted that it wasn't necessary, he was adamant. After all, you had managed to convince the CEO of BigHit Entertainment to let you and the idol visit his hometown for a few days.
Miss Lee also took up Chansook's offer, crying in joy as the woman's dream of finally being financially stable, as well as giving Aurora the childhood she deserved, came true. It made you happy for her as well.
"Thank you so much, Chansook," Miss Lee said, her voice choked with emotion as she hugged Chansook tightly. "I can't express how much this means to us."
Chansook smiled warmly, hugging the woman back. "You deserve it, Miss Lee. You've worked so hard. Aurora deserves the best."
Aurora, sensing the emotional moment, wrapped her small arms around both women, her bright eyes shining with happiness. "Thank you, Auntie Chansook!"
As you waited on the platform, you thought back to Jimin's recent hospital stay. He had been discharged just two days ago, but only under the strict condition that he rest and allow his body to recover fully. Otherwise, he would still be confined to the hospital bed, unable to join you on this trip.
"You'll take good care of him, okay?" Chansook asked, her voice tinged with concern as she pulled back from the hug. "If not, I'm gonna have the managers breathing down my neck."
"Of course," you assured her, chuckling. "I'll make sure he doesn't overdo it."
You were worried that something might happen while you were away with Jimin, so you made Chansook promise to keep a close eye on the guys and call you if anything suspicious popped up. She told you that you were a bit too paranoid about it, but she followed your instructions anyway.
"It's just for a few days, don't worry. You can still call me, after all."
She frowned slightly. "That isn't the same."
You shrugged. "Well, then it's not my problem, I suppose." She playfully punched your shoulder, laughing.
A few feet away, Jimin and the rest of his group were huddled together, laughing and making the most of it before the singer would depart. You squinted your eyes, noting the familiar blonde in the midst of the circle. You internally rolled your eyes, annoyance already bubbling up inside of you at the mere sight of her.
Jungkook's gaze focused on you, meeting your eyes and sending you a wide smile, which you returned. He suddenly walked over, the others noticing immediately and getting slightly quieter. You uncomfortably shifted in your posture, the many eyes leaving a bitter taste in your mouth.
The male stood in front of you, opening his arms wide for you, inviting you in for a hug, the previous feelings vanishing. You shuffled in front of him before burying your head into his chest, inhaling his luscious smell with a hint of some men's perfume, arms around his waist and contented in the moment.
His big frame almost covered your whole body, leaving a squealing Chansook beside you two. You ignored her, stepping back. Jungkook greeted her after you both let go.
"Take care of yourself and Jimin," he said softly, his eyes filled with genuine concern.
"Of course," you replied, smiling up at him. "Make sure you don't get into any trouble while I'm gone."
