As you felt a tiny sensation crawling on your arm, you dismissed it with a casual shrug, not paying much attention. Suddenly, a mischievous snicker reached your ears, causing you to furrow your brows in confusion, your surroundings registering only vaguely in your mind.
Without warning, your blanket was violently ripped off, exposing you to the chilly air that wrapped around you like an unwelcome second skin. Groaning in discomfort, you fumbled in the darkness, desperately searching for the stolen warmth while another snicker was heard.
As the sensation of something crawling on your arm returned, you swatted it away with irritation, but it persisted, growing increasingly bothersome. Finally, unable to tolerate it any longer, you slapped yourself in a futile attempt to rid yourself of the persistent feeling, frustration evident in your muffled curse. "God damn it whatㅡ"
"There's a spider on your arm!"
In a moment of sheer instinct, your eyes snapped open, and a scream of panic tore through the silent room as you tumbled out of bed, adrenaline flooding your system, banishing any remnants of drowsiness. Your hand shot out to swat away the perceived intruder on your arm, only to freeze midway as your gaze landed on the figure of Chansook, doubled over with laughter on the floor.
"Huh, why are you laughing?" you asked, baffled by Chansook's hysterics.
She remained silent at first, still overcome with laughter, rolling on the floor with tears streaming down her cheeks. Your confusion deepened, and you glanced between her and your arms, searching for any sign of the supposed spider.
Unable to contain her amusement any longer, Chansook retrieved her phone and displayed the screen, causing your jaw to drop in disbelief. Suppressing further laughter, she held a hand to her mouth, watching your flustered expression with amusement.
"Oh, hell no!" you exclaimed, your feigned anger failing to mask your amusement. "Come here, you little—!" With determination, you sprang to your feet, causing Chansook to screech and flee from you as you gave chase.
The two of you raced through her apartment, your sole focus on wresting the incriminating photo from her grasp and erasing any evidence of your less-than-graceful slumber. The image captured was far from a regal princess awaiting her prince charming; rather, it depicted a drooling, rumpled figure resembling a potato in repose.
With determination fueling your pursuit, you lunged for her phone once more, but she expertly evaded your attempts, giggling uncontrollably as she darted around furniture and obstacles. You matched her every move, your laughter mingling with hers as the chase led you in a merry dance through the apartment.
Finally, after a few exhilarating minutes of cat and mouse, you managed to corner her in the living room. With a mischievous glint in your eye, you made a grab for the phone, but Chansook, quick as ever, ducked out of reach with a triumphant laugh.
"Not so fast!" she teased, holding the phone just out of your reach, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
You couldn't help but chuckle at the playful banter, realizing that despite the initial shock, you were thoroughly enjoying the impromptu game of tag. "Give it here, Chansook," you insisted, faking a stern tone as if a mother was scolding her child.
With an evil twinkle in her eye, Chansook pretended to consider your request for a brief moment before springing into action once more. As you reached out to grab the phone, she deftly sidestepped, slipping past you with ease.
"Nice try!" she teased, her laughter bubbling up once again as she danced just out of reach, her agility making it seem like she was everywhere at once.
