You gasped.

Opening your eyes, panic etched across your features, you looked around frantically. You had just witnessed Namjoon being crushed by falling equipment and...

"Is everything okay?" A hand gently rested on your shoulder, causing you to flinch. You backed away instinctively, the fear dissipating as soon as you laid eyes on Namjoon, who stood before you unharmed.

Tears welled up in your eyes as you swiftly pulled him into a tight embrace, seeking solace in his warmth. A strangled sob escaped your lips as you buried your face into his chest. "I-I thought I lost you..." Even though Namjoon may not have understood what had happened, you were grateful for his comforting presence, his arms wrapping around you without hesitation.

All you felt was overwhelming relief that he was safe and sound. You released him from the embrace after a while and managed a slightly awkward smile. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

He shook his head reassuringly. "No need to apologize, I understand. Now, shall we go eat with the others?" He motioned towards the backstage area.

As the situation finally began to settle in your mind, confusion washed over you. "But you already asked me that...?" A sense of déjà vu lingered in the air, making the moment feel surreal. Nevertheless, you followed Namjoon backstage as he continued chatting about mundane things.

You couldn't wrap your head around what had just happened. Was it possible that time had somehow rewound, and Namjoon's death would occur again? The thought sent a shiver down your spine as you stared blankly ahead, trying to make sense of it all.

As you found yourself back in the familiar surroundings, your gaze immediately fell to your necklace. It still held its mysterious glow, leaving you puzzled but certain that it held some significance. What that significance was remained unclear, but you were determined to find out.

Moments later, your suspicions seemed to be confirmed as the necklace began to emit a faint glow once more. You sucked in a breath, your eyes darting to Namjoon at the corner of your vision. He remained oblivious to the subtle phenomenon, which was perhaps for the best.

In the previous timeline, you had caught sight of a figure standing on the railing just before the equipment fell on Namjoon. Now, with this unexpected opportunity to change fate, you were determined to prevent the tragedy from repeating itself.

However, you knew that if the stranger caught you looking at them, it could spell disaster for both of you. So, you discreetly glanced upward, confirming the presence of the ominous figure. With a plan forming in your mind, you waited for the perfect moment to act.

Nodding slightly to yourself, you engaged Namjoon in conversation, masking your apprehension with casual chatter. Pretending as if you hadn't just witnessed a potential attempt on Namjoon's life, you remained vigilant, ready to spring into action at the critical moment.

As Namjoon crouched down to tie his shoelaces, you closed your eyes, mentally preparing yourself for the critical moment. Counting down the seconds in your head, you focused all your attention on the impending danger.

The sound of small clinks from above snapped you back to reality, and you opened your eyes just in time to see the equipment beginning to fall. Without hesitation, you acted on instinct, pushing Namjoon away with all your strength.

He stumbled back in shock, his eyes widening in realization as he watched the scene unfold. You braced yourself for the impact, knowing that you had sacrificed yourself to save him. The weight of the falling equipment crashed onto you, and you let out a groan as the force pushed you to the ground.
