Pwan was in his private office. The walls covered in advertising awards were silent witnesses to his phone conversation.

"I need you to find out everything you can find about a certain Yoko Apasra" he said dryly.

"Yes, Miss Pwan," his assistant answered from the other end of the phone.

Pwan smiled maliciously. "This girl is not going to take what is mine" he thought to himself, I made her break up with her ex once, I can do it again and this time I won't sit back, Faye has to be my partner.

At City Hall, in his luxurious office overlooking the city, Minister Apasra slammed his desk in fury after receiving the reply that his daughter was in Faye's care, one of his men had seen her at his company.

"That damn Faye!" he roared. "First she dares to challenge me at her stupid event and now this!" Did his daughter even know Faye? And now he was with her, Faye would tell her daughter her entire past? Furious, he pounded the table again, he knew he couldn't do anything to bring his daughter back home, after all she was an adult now, damn it!" he protested.

His personal assistant cringed at the outburst of anger.

"I want you to investigate everything," the mayor ordered. "Every move Malisorn's makes, every contract with the city. There must be something we can use. And contact the editor of the local paper... I want to know how willing they are to publish a juicy story once we find something."

Back in the cafeteria, oblivious to the machinations against them, Yoko and Orm continued their conversation.

"And you're really staying at Faye's?" Orm asked.

"Yes," Yoko nervously played with her napkin. "She has a guest room, but..."

"But?"

"Last night, when we slept in the office... I've never felt so safe as in his arms." Yoko said flirtatiously, remembering the warmth of Faye's body next to hers, she had never been this close to another person

Orm smiled tenderly. "It's beautiful to see you like this, you know? Happy, in love..." Orm felt so happy for his friend

"In love?" Yoko almost choked on her coffee. "It's... it's too soon to..." Yoko felt embarrassed at that insinuation due to her inexperience

"Love has no calendar, honey," Orm interrupted. "And the way you talk about her... it's pretty obvious." Orm said, full of experience in matters of love.

Suddenly Yoko received a message from Faye: "Where are you? I just got back to the office." it read on her screen.

"We should go back," Yoko said, getting up. "Faye is waiting for me." She continued as she arranged her things to leave

"Go," Orm smiled. "I'll stay a little longer. In fact..." he looked at his phone. "I'll ask Ling if she wants to join me for another coffee." She said mischievously, to which Yoko smiled "you're amazing Orm, you sure don't waste time" then she said goodbye and headed off to the company.

As Yoko walked back to the office, the lights of the city illuminated her path. She couldn't know that at that very moment, in different parts of the city, plans were being made behind her back.

Upon arriving at the office, she found Faye waiting for her at the reception.

"I missed you," Faye whispered mischievously when no one could hear them.

"It was only two hours," Yoko replied, blushing as she looked in all directions for any possible curious people.

"Two very long hours," Faye smiled. "Ready to go home?" she asked kindly looking at Yoko with unconditional love.
