Yoko arrived home distraught and exhausted, the weight of the previous day crushing her spirits. It had been a long day at the office, and the humiliation she had faced at the hands of Pwan was consuming her. As she walked through the door, a bubbling frustration began to build inside her; she needed to get it out, and the only person in sight was Faye.
Upon entering, she found Faye sitting in the living room, looking anxious. The excitement on Faye's face was obvious, always eager to welcome her girlfriend. However, upon hearing the door open, she moved forward to give a kiss and a warm hug. But, instead of returning the affectionate gesture, Yoko pushed her away in frustration.
"Don't touch me," she yelled, the pain evident in her voice.
Faye, confused, took a step back. " What's wrong, Yoko?" she asked, clearly worried.
In response, Yoko began to cry, pointing to the visible mark on her neck. "This is happening," she sobbed, her voice breaking.
Faye was stunned at the sight of the mark, shocked that something like this could have happened without her knowing. "I didn't know I marked you like that." Her voice held a flash of guilt.
" Do you know what Pwan said to me when he saw her?" Yoko continued, her tone filled with rage and pain. "He implied that I pay you with sex for your gifts."
Yoko's words hit Faye like a punch. She felt horrible knowing that because of her, Yoko had had a bad day. But before she could react properly, Yoko vented more of her pain.
—I've never felt so humiliated in my life, Faye! So exposed! —Tears fell as Yoko tried to contain the torrent of emotions.
Faye wanted to hug her, but Yoko resisted, pushing her away while crying. " I don't want you to touch me! Get away from me!" she screamed as she pulled away from her.
Despite Yoko's resistance, Faye, being bigger and stronger, couldn't pull away. "Come on, calm down. I'm sorry, let me hug you, please."
But Yoko's refusal was firm. Feeling helpless, Faye grabbed Yoko's wrist, turned her around to hold her from behind, trying to get a comforting hug.
Maria, hearing Yoko's screams, approached the scene, worried about what could be happening. "Faye, what are you doing?" she asked, stopping when she saw the tension in the room.
But Faye, irritated and on the defensive, replied harshly. "It's none of your business. Please stay out of it."
Yoko was still crying, and Faye, with a mix of frustration and concern, hugged her from behind, firm but gentle. "Relax, my love, I'm here. I'm really sorry, I'm sorry. I promise it won't happen again."
With Faye's embrace, Yoko struggled between the comfort she needed and the burden she felt. The internal struggle was palpable, but Faye's voice was an anchor amidst the emotional storm.
"I need you," Yoko whispered through her sobs, feeling that even though she felt humiliated, there was also a refuge in Faye's presence.
Faye's hug, though filled with good intentions, seemed to create an even greater conflict within Yoko. Despite the warmth, every muscle in her body was tense, a mix of frustration, sadness, and a deep sense of betrayal keeping her on guard.
Yoko finally allowed herself to cry, letting the tears flow freely. She felt like all of her vulnerability had been exposed, not just to Pwan and her coworkers, but to her own girlfriend as well. It was as if each tear was dragging her sense of self into a dark place. How could she have allowed anyone, even Faye, to get to a point where she felt like this, so exposed and ashamed?
