Hi, I'm leaving a new update! It's a different chapter, I hope you like it!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After leaving Lux, Faye headed home, the magnificent building that had always been full of life now seemed ominous and empty without Yoko's presence, the house feeling like an echo. Ever since Yoko had moved in with her, every corner had resonated with laughter and conversation. But tonight, loneliness dared to enter, enveloping Faye in a blanket of melancholy.

Upon reaching the spacious kitchen, Faye walked over to the fridge in search of a bottle of water. The dim light illuminated the space, and as she opened it, her stomach tightened. "It's strange being here alone," she thought, as she sat down at the kitchen island. The empty chairs around her seemed to murmur the moments shared with Yoko. Remembering the hurried mornings where they both tried to rush out so they wouldn't be late for work, she smiled to herself.

With her phone in hand, Faye looked at the screen; it was 2 a.m. "Is she asleep already?" she mused, feeling a deep desire to hear Yoko's voice, to connect with her vibrant energy that illuminated her life... but she decided to send a message. "Good night, my love," she wrote, adding a heart at the end.

She took a long sip of water, the cool liquid easing some of the tension that had begun to build in her shoulders. Suddenly, her cell phone pinged with the characteristic ping that indicated a new message. Quickly flipping it open, Faye saw it was Yoko.

"How are you, love? Are you still awake? What are you doing so late? Can't sleep without me?" Yoko said in the message, her words full of curiosity and her characteristically restless tone. Faye couldn't help but smile at Yoko's ability to ask a thousand questions at once.

"I'm just about to go to bed. Can I meet you at the office tomorrow morning? Do you want me to pick you up at Orm's house?" Faye wrote, hoping to see Yoko as soon as possible.

Yoko's reply came almost immediately as she was still online. "Yes, I want you to look for me!" she added a puppy emoji , as if she was asking for attention. Faye smiled softly, her heart warming at the sight of Yoko, so playful and cute.

"I'll look for you," Faye replied, sending a heart emoji in return. There was a simplicity to their conversation that relaxed her, a thread of connection that bridged the distance of their absence.

With a smile on her face and the weight of loneliness a little lighter, Faye unlocked her phone and walked up the stairs to her room. She felt a little calmer, but she knew that the feeling of emptiness would only dissipate when Yoko was back by her side. As she showered, the hot water fell on her, washing away some of the tiredness from the long day she had faced, and when she finished she went straight to bed, falling asleep almost immediately .

It was 6:30 am when Faye opened her eyes, feeling an overwhelming tiredness that kept her glued to the sheets. She felt like she had woken up even more tired, and reluctantly she got up, knowing she had to get ready for the day. With a sigh, she ran her hand through her disheveled hair, feeling like she still wanted to stay in bed a little longer.

Finally, she headed to the closet and opted for a figure-hugging black fitted suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and sleek heels that made her height look imposing. She applied natural makeup, highlighting her features without overdoing it, and let her hair down, letting the falling waves frame her face. Every choice felt like an effort to present the best version of herself, both for Yoko and for herself.

Seeing that it was already late, she headed straight to find Yoko, taking a small detour to buy two coffees on her way. As she drove, the cloudy sky loomed over Bangkok, promising that the rainy season was about to begin. The heavy, grey clouds echoed the emotional turmoil that still accompanied her from the day before.
