Part 23

A new day dawned, one full of opportunities for Faye. As she woke up, a wave of excitement and nervousness washed over her at the thought of the proposed collaboration with the cosmetics brand. Although it was not a normal occurrence for her company, this project represented something different: a reason to expand her horizons while also supporting Yoko on her own path. With her phone in hand, she dialed Ling's number, eager to share her thoughts.

"Hello, Ling!" Faye exclaimed energetically on the other end of the line. "I wanted to let you know about the collaboration proposal I received from the cosmetics brand. I know there are risks involved, but I also see the advantages it could bring to our work."

Ling listened intently, her voice shining with her usual professionalism. "I understand, Faye. I just want to remind you that your approach is crucial. Make sure you evaluate every detail before making a decision. I wouldn't want you to be impulsive in this."

"I know, Ling, don't worry. I'll be arriving at the office around noon today, so make sure everything that needs attention is ready before I get there," Faye replied, feeling grateful for Ling's attention and dedication.

As Faye ended the phone call, Yoko finished getting dressed and, as she passed her, gave her a knowing, playful look.

"Do you like what you see?" Yoko asked with a mischievous smile, aware of the effect she had on Faye.

—You look especially beautiful today! — he said while hugging her and giving her a kiss on the cheek — let's go have breakfast, it's getting late.

Going down to the kitchen, they enjoyed a brief moment of relaxation before beginning their day. The warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the kitchen, while a bowl of fresh fruit waited on the table. There was no shortage of games, laughter and mischief from Susy and Yoko, the little moments of joy that always made Faye feel energized and ready to face whatever came next.

Faye giggled as she remembered something funny Susy had done the night before. "I never thought a cat could get into a mess with a ball of wool like that. We need to record it next time," she said, her smile brightening the room.

Thus, between laughs and coffee, the two women shared a moment of tranquility and complicity, preparing for what would be a day full of possibilities.

After breakfast, Faye and Yoko headed to the cosmetics company. Upon reaching the modern facade of the building, several employees stopped in the middle of their daily tasks, unable to help but stare in disbelief when they saw Faye Malisorn, the famous businesswoman, enter accompanied by her young intern.

"Is that Faye Malisorn?" one of the employees whispered, his eyes shining with wonder as he watched the couple.

Faye, used to being the center of attention, ignored the murmurs, confidence adorning her bearing. She knew her presence always caused a stir, but she was not swayed by what others thought.

They soon arrived at the CEO's office. Faye took a deep breath, focusing her mind on the meeting they were about to have. Her face maintained a serious and determined expression. As she walked through the office door, she was greeted by the CEO's open-mouthed gaze, who let out a surprised exclamation.

"I can't believe it! It's you! I didn't expect you so fast," the man said, his voice ringing with amazement.

"Nice to meet you, sir," Faye replied with a professional but calm smile, extending her hand in a firm greeting. "I'm Faye Malisorn, and this is my secretary, Yoko. She said she wanted to see me."

The CEO's impression quickly changed from surprise to admiration, his eyes shining with respect and enthusiasm. Faye felt a tingle of satisfaction at the recognition of her work. At that very moment, she understood that all the effort and dedication she had put into her career was paying off.
