Rollercoaster love

I love you

I'm pacing the living room. Amanda, David, Jacob, my parents, the lads. Everyone is here. Frank hasn't called yet and I'm getting more and more worried.
Molly: "I need to know what's going on."
TJ: "Frank said he'd call, he will call."
Amanda: "what did she say to you Molly?"
Molly: "not a lot, she was in so much pain."
Amanda: "but she's okay?"
Molly: "she told me she was, but I don't know."

A few minutes of silence.
My phone rings.
I instantly pick it up.
Molly: "please tell me you have her?"
Frank: "we do. She's okay, she's okay. We've got her in the ambulance."
Molly: "you do? She's safe?"
Frank: "she's finally safe."
Everyone hugs eachother. I get to see my girl again.
Frank tells me which hospital she's going to and we all rush a round and get into our cars.
A very quick drive and we are there.

I run to the front desk.
Molly: "leah Williamson."
Receptionist: "are you family?"
Amanda: "yes. I'm her mum. What room?"
She tells us what room and we all run there. Police are outside her door. Frank is there.
I run and hug him.
Frank: "she's confused, malnourished but no major injuries."
Molly: "thank you."
I go to her bedside, her family on the other side.
Amanda: "bubba?"
Leah opens her eyes slightly.
Leah: "mu-mum?"
Amanda: "we are so glad you're safe."
She hugs her tightly.
Leah: "dad, Jacob?"
Jacob: "alright? we've missed you."
David: "sweetheart."
David kisses the top of her head.
Leah: "where-where's mol-molly?"
Molly: "I'm right here baby. I'm right here."
She turns her head and tears up instantly.
Molly: "hey don't, you'll set me off."
Leah: "I lov-love you."
Molly: "I love you."
I kiss her hand and hold it tight.
She looks at my stomach.
Leah: "wh-what? The, the baby?"
I tear up.
Leah: "no, you-you said every-everything was ok-okay."
Molly: "I had to keep you fighting baby, I had to."
Leah: "was-was it beca-because I'd go-gone?"
Molly: "stress and anxiety, no one's fault. It's okay, we have our whole lives."
She nods slightly.
A nurse comes in.
Nurse: "she needs to rest."
Leah: "no- no they-they aren't goi-going anywhere."
Molly: "no we aren't."
Leah: "hav-have they found hi-him?"
Molly: "I don't know babe, TJ? Can you find out?"
TJ: "sure."
Leah: "no."
He stops.
TJ: "no?"
Leah: "not you, I don't want him to get-get me."
TJ: "Leah, you're safe, the police are just outside, I'll be 2 minutes."
She looks at me and nods.
TJ goes to talk to Frank with David and Jacob.
Amanda: "what do you need bubba?"
Leah: "I've got what I need."
She looks straight at me.
Everyone comes back in with Frank.
Frank: "hi Leah, how are you feeling?"
Leah: "as well as I can I th-think."
Frank: "can you answer a few questions for me?"
She nods.
Frank: "who were they? Anyone you know?"
Leah: "erm, Tom, some guy called Jack, or John? They never really said names, so I might have misheard those."
Frank: "Tom as in Mollys ex?"
Leah: "yea-yeah, it was definitely him."
Frank: "okay, can you remember any details? Anything that might help us send him down?"
Leah: "how long have you got?"
Frank: "as long as you want."
Leah starts saying what she remembers, and honestly it's heartbreaking.
Leah: "he er-erm."
She's tearing up.
Leah: "he was erm say-saying all these thin-things about Molly, I'd defend her and he'd beat me harder everytime. I couldn't not defend her."
Frank: "it's okay, we will stop it there for today, focus on getting yourself better okay?"
She nods.
Frank: "no one knows you've been found yet, have a few days and we will talk about it after okay? Just have a few days to relax and spend time with family and friends."
Leah: "thanks, erm, the police outside the door? Are they staying?"
Frank: "they are there until we have him in custody."
She nods.
Frank: "I'll see you soon."
David walks with him.
Molly: "get some rest baby."
Leah: "yeah. Don't leave though."
Molly: "I'm staying right here."
I kiss her hand again.
She falls asleep, her hand in mine. She looks horrific, dried up blood, bruises, fresh blood. I'm just thankful she's safe now.
Molly: "I should tell the Arsenal girls."
Amanda: "do you want me to do it?"
Molly: "no it's okay, I'll be 2 minutes."

I head out of the room and call Beth. Beth and I are pretty close now, she's been constantly coming round to my house to check on me, making sure that I'm okay, she's going to be so relieved.
Beth: "Molly?"
Molly: "hey, hi sorry did I wake you?"
Beth: "little bit, it's okay, is everything alright?"
Molly: "they found her."
I hear her sit up in bed.
Beth: "is- is she al-"
Molly: "she's alive, she's in hospital, she's okay, just needs a lot of rest."
I hear her sniffle.
Beth: "thank god. Sorry, I don't mean to cry."
Molly: "hey it's okay, cry all you want, she's safe Beth. I'll get her to ring you and the girls tomorrow okay?"
Beth: "please. Please make sure she does. I won't tell anyone outside Arsenal, I'm sure you want a few days before the press get into it."
Molly: "thanks Beth, love you mate."
Beth: "love you too."

The call ends and I got back to Leah's side.
Her mum is sat there too.
Amanda: "I can't believe it."
Molly: "I know, but she's okay, we will have our Leah back soon enough."
Amanda: "we will. Thank you, for everything you've done."
Molly: "she did the same for me."
Amanda: "I hope they lock him up"
Molly: "they will."

The next morning, after some sleep I wake up. Leah isn't in the room.
Molly: "Leah?! Leah, where is she?"
I rush out of the room.
Doctor: "relax, she's gone for some tests, she's fine"
I take a breath.
Molly: "how long will she be?"
Doctor: "not much longer"
Molly: "okay, okay."
I sit back in Leah's room, she gets wheeling in after around 10 minutes.
Leah: "morning sleepy head."
Molly: "hi"
Leah: "doctors said if I have clean scans I can go home in the morning"
I smile at her.
Leah: "what's wrong?"
Molly: "it's just nice to have you back with me."
Leah: "come here."
She moves over and I lay down on the bed with her.
I cuddle into her.
Leah: "I'm okay, I bet it's been rough, and I'm sorry that I've not been here."
Molly: "no it's not your fault, not yours at all."
Leah: "I'm just glad Milo is okay."
Molly: "he's perfectly fine."
Leah: "I'm sorry, about the baby."
Molly: "it's okay, we can do it how we want to now. On our terms."
Leah: "we can."
She smiles at me and kisses my head.
We both fall asleep, Leah needs it most but after the past few months I've needed it too.

It's the next morning, we are all waiting for the doctor to come in and tell us if Leah can go home.
Leah: "I wanna get out of here."
Molly: "I know baby."
Leah: "I just wanna go home."
At that moment, the doctor comes in.
Doctor: "good news for you then. You can go home."
Leah: "really?"
Doctor: "really. You need to be careful with your ribs, bed rest, lots of fluids and food okay?"
Leah: "you got it."
Doctor: "we are also referring you to a psychiatrist."
Leah: "don't need it."
Doctor: "Leah, you've been through a lot these past few months, just a few sessions, to see if it helps okay?"
Leah: "okay."
Doctor: "I'll get your paperwork sorted, let's get you home."
Leah: "thanks doc."
He leaves.
Leah: "im going home."
Molly: "you're going home."
I kiss her hand and smile at her.

The press still don't know she's okay, which is getting stressful, we never know if they will pop up or not.
Just as we are about to leave, Frank comes in.
Frank: "you're going home? That's great news."
Leah: "thanks, for everything."
Frank: "just doing my job. I have some news for you"
Leah: "go on"
Frank: "we got him, and his mates."
Leah sits down.
I hold her hand.
Leah: "really?"
Frank: "really. He's going away, for a long long time."
Leah: "thank you, I needed that."
Frank: "there's another thing, I think it's time to tell the press, I'm guessing everyone you know knows you're safe?"
Leah: "yeah they do."
Frank: "we will only tell them if you're ready, do you think you're ready?"
Leah: "yeah, go for it"
Frank: "if you're up for it, I need you to write a statement for me to read, is that okay?"
Leah: "yeah, it's okay, I'll sort it."
Frank: "okay, go home, get some sleep, I'll call you in the morning before the news conference okay?"
Leah: "okay, thanks."
Leah shakes his hand, her parents do too.

Molly: "you sure you're ready for that?"
Leah: "gotta come out soon, it's about time."
Molly: "okay, let's get you home."
