Under the sparkling blue gaze I find
Lips like cherry blossoms, all of it, I love, yeah
By way of dancing petals
I send your heart with a kiss, I'll love you forever
Like a butterfly wandering in search of you
All day I only think of you, my love, yeah
With the scattering petals
I send my dreams with a kiss,
I'll love you forever♪
The view from the top of Namsan was breathtaking.
The sprawling city below looked almost miniature, dwarfed by the mountain's height. Each building and street seemed like a fragment of a carefully crafted model, but the lights, streetlights, neon signs, and the glow from high-rise windows brought it all to life.
They shimmered in the clear night, creating a quiet yet electrifying scene and the Han River wove through the city like a strand of dark silk, reflecting the lights in soft, broken patterns. The wind was gentle and cool, amplifying the calmness of this sweeping, illuminated view of Seoul.
They had spent most of the evening walking in silence, the kind of silence that only seemed heavy when you thought about it.
It wasn't uncomfortable- no, not at all but it was as if they were both waiting for something, some cue to finally speak.
The soft hum of the night around them, the distant sounds of life continuing in the city were like a reminder that the world went on even if they didn't know how to move forward in it right now.
Hannah glanced at Mark out of the corner of her eye, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of a small gift box that she had been holding onto for the past few minutes which felt heavy like hours.
She had been waiting for the right moment, the right words to say but the longer the silence stretched, the more she realized there was no perfect time.
Taking a breath, she turned toward him, her gaze steady yet soft, and called his name gently.
"Mark"He looked over at her, his expression a mixture of quiet anticipation and exhaustion, as if he had been waiting for something too.
"Yeah?"
"Here, open it." Hannah passed the small box to Mark with a soft smile, watching him carefully as he took it from her.
It felt heavier than he expected and as he held it, his mind wandered for a moment. How did she carry this for so long? The box was small, but the weight of it seemed to carry some kind of significance that Mark couldn't quite place.
He raised an eyebrow at her, his hands still wrapped around the box, and looked up with curiosity.
"What's inside?" he asked, unable to hide the hint of excitement in his voice.
Hannah smiled but didn't give an immediate answer.
"Just open it," she said quietly, her eyes soft, as if she were waiting for something, something only he could understand and something which she wanted to be genuine.Mark carefully unwrapped the simple paper around the box, his fingers slow and deliberate as if he didn't want to ruin the moment.
When he finally lifted the lid, his eyes first landed on a sleek boyish ring with a tiger pattern engraved on it.
The design was intricate, fierce yet subtle and Mark couldn't help but admire how it suited his style perfectly. It felt personal, almost as though it had been made for him.
"Whoa," he muttered, lifting the ring between his fingers to get a better look.
"This is... this is cool."Hannah's smile grew a little wider, but she didn't speak immediately, allowing him to take in the moment.
